The notch trending is increasing rapidly but Chinese company, ZTE aren’t backing down from the trending display. The company latest flagship device, ZTE Axon 9 Pro Smartphone arrives with a top notch display.
The phone was unveiled at IFA in Berlin 2018. Aside from the iPhone X’s like notch display on the Axon 9 Pro, there is a slight chin at the bottom of the display. There are other essential features including the vertically placed dual camera, fingerprint sensor and many more.

Design and Display
The ZTE Axon 9 Pro is rated IP68 for water-resistance, supports Qi wireless charging and has an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. There is the tall 6.21-inch AMOLED display, and of course, a respected notch display at the up front.

The glass design is quite impressive, well, it might not be that of high-end but it is encouraging, attractive and well deserved! It also come with a front-facing RGB sensor, which detects the color temperature of your surroundings.

The ZTE Axon 9 Pro Smartphone comes with a dual camera setup on the back, which consists of 12-megapixel (f/1.75, 1.4-micron) + 20-megapixel RGB sensor camera. The 12-megapixels is a wide-angle camera that offers a 130-degree field of view.
The rear camera offers a lot of incentive features, which are meant for killer flagship. There is the Portrait mode with artificial depth of field, which brings out the subject of the photo and blur the remaining background subjects. Another is the sports mode, allows users to capture a sharp moving object.
While on the front, there is the powerful 20-megapixel selfie shooter. Oh yes, it is also enhanced with Portrait mode too, including other photo effect beautification and it doubles as the Face ID recognition for easy unlocking.

ZTE Axon 9 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, running at 2.8GHz Octa-core processor. With the latest processor, it will bring in a better battery optimization. The device comes with 6GB of RAM for seamless and smooth multitasking.
The phone packs a 128GB of internal storage and it is fueled by a 4000mAh battery capacity with Quick charge tech.
There is a more modernized USB-C port, and audio quality by packing stereo speaker. Which provides a more realistic Hi-Fi sounding from the high volume.
The new device supports a new real-time translation feature for up to 29 languages. The phone runs on the outdated Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, but we all hope for a system upgrade later in the future!
Price of ZTE Axon 9 Pro
The price of the ZTE Axon 9 Pro Android Smartphone is €649 in Europe / $759 in the US. Which is around N275,000 in Nigeria currency. It looks more promising and impressive, but the price is a little bit expensive. Anyways, you can keep it in your mind when looking for the best phone.
In mid 2019, we will expect ZTE 5G devices to be announced. This is coming from the company directly. We are all aware of the controversy happening in US concerning Chinese tech giants, Huawei and ZTE, hence, ZTE Axon 9 Pro may not arrive in the US.
