In continuation with standard effort, ZTE officially introduces its next latest Smartphone know as the ZTE Axon 30 with OLED 120Hz panel.
The Axon 30 is the successor to the last year’s Axon 20 5G, and the Axon 30 is the second-gen under-display camera smartphone.
ZTE Axon 30 is the world’s first smartphone to be authorized with the three authoritative eye protection certifications, covering TUV, SGS, and UL.
Thanks to this authorization, the device screen can reduce blue light radiation, protect eyesight, and support DC dimming to reduce visual fatigue caused by screen flicker.
It comes with a 10bit AMOLED panel at a 6.92-inch 1080 pixels FHD+ OLED 20.5:9 display with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The Axon 30 screen panel comes with 120Hz refresh rate support, 360Hz touch sampling rate and 1.07 billion colors.
The display features a 7-layer structure including higher transmittance materials, an all-new UDC Pro screen display chip and an ACE circuit arrangement.
ZTE said “7 layers of highly transparent materials and 3 special processing technologies are used to make the under-display camera area more light-transmissive. Combined with the larger light-sensitive 4-in-1 2.24um equivalent large pixel camera, it creates an excellent light environment for shooting”
We are actually looking at the first under-display camera area screen with a massive jump from Axon 20’s 200ppi to 400ppi.
The 16-megapixels under-display camera uses a 4-in-1 binning process capturing 2.24um equivalent pixels.
Around the rear panel is a primary 64-megapixels Sony IMX682 sensor, 8 -megapixels ultrawide camera, a 5 -megapixels macro shooter and a 2 -megapixels depth lens.
As expected, it comes with LED flash and multi-camera simultaneous shooting, has Super Night Mode, classic filters and supports 3D Lut filters for users to customize.
Powering the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 7nm with up to 3.2GHz coupled with Adreno 650 GPU.
You can find the device in few memory configuration, 6GB / 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB / 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
ZTE Axon 30 is made of 3D composite polymer material with nano-level glow texture overlaid.
Features an illusion holographic effect can bring a rich light and shadow change with a dazzling beauty of colors.
It runs Android 11 with MyOS11 and fueled by a 4200mAh battery with 55W fast wired charging through USB Type-C.
Under the display is also the fingeprint reader, support NFC, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS connectivity.
It measures 7.8mm, weighs 189g, Dual SIM and comes in Black and Aqua color options. It also features DTS:X Ultra for better quality sound.
ZTE mentioned that the Axon 30 comes with an 5G super antenna 3.1 that is equipped with an “anti-lock” antenna system and a dual Wi-Fi antenna.
The company also mentioned that even there is vertical grip or horizontal grip, it can prevent hands from blocking the antenna and improve the signal transmission capabilities by 100%.
The 5G SA/NSA is available in different bands – n1, n3, n28, n41 and n78 for China. Well, this is unlike the OnePlus Nord 2 5G that supported 9 bands.
ZTE Axon 30 Pricing
ZTE Axon 30 price in China starts at CNY 2,198 ($338) for the 6GB/128GB model, CNY 3,098 ($476) for the 12GB/256GB model.
The company confirmed that first sales will kick-off on August 3 and will be coming to the global market and price remain unknown.
