One of the most popular online video sharing website, YouTube has now introduced another interface design of their website for better view, it is the Dark Mode!
The YouTube new Dark Mode is used especially at Nights to watch movies with our bright phones. Applying a dark theme to whatever application you are working with can help, but not all software allows this.
YouTube executive Manuel Bronstein said that YouTube is hoping to get every one on the new design as soon as possible. “From a tech and performance standpoint, there’s a lot going on under the hood that we need more time,” Bronstein said. “We hope it’s [ready] in a matter of months, we don’t want to be sitting on this for a year.”
How to Enable:-
Your Chrome must be updated to version 57 or later (current versions of other browsers worked just as well). Go to any YouTube page and then open the developer console window.
On Windows machines, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + I and if you are using a Mac hit Option + Command + I. Click the Console tab and then type or paste the following:
var cookieDate = new Date(); cookieDate.setFullYear(cookieDate.getFullYear( ) + 1); document.cookie=”VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=fPQ4jCL6EiE; expires=” + cookieDate.toGMTString( ) + “; path=/”;
Hit enter and then close the developer window and refresh the page. Now click on the settings button (your avatar if you are signed in).
There will be a Dark Mode option and clicking it will bring up a toggle switch. Set it to “on” and enjoy the relief from the glare.
OR
To do so, users need only to click on their user icon in the upper right hand corner and then selecting the “Dark Mode” setting.
This is an updated design and it is optional though, the interface looks good for readers and watchers of movies.
