Xiaomi Mi Watch is now official with Aluminium alloy frame, 1.78-inch AMOLED screen, 4G VoLTE via eSIM and it is completely powered by Snapdragon Wear 3100.

The new Xiaomi’s Mi watch is just an Apple watch look-like at $185. Xiaomi calls it a ‘small phone on your wrist’ as it runs a skinned version of Google’s Wear OS.

Mi Watch happens to be the first smartwatch to bear the Mi branding, which is incredible as it sports impressive and overwhelming premium outstanding specifications.

Xiaomi Mi Watch Premium Edition

It arrives with a 1.78-inch AMOLED touch screen with support for over 100 watch faces, and there is the always-on capabilities in a 44mm casing.

Sports Aluminium alloy frame design, and a ceramic back panel with a single button and crown on the right-hand side that are used to operate the interface. The left houses a single speaker and microphone.

There are fitness and health tracking features such as sports, activity, sleep tracking, body energy tracking, and 10 professional sports modes.

The sensors includes accelerometer, geomagnetic sensor, heart Rate Sensor, ambient Light Sensor, barometer, swim proof etc. Supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC functionality, a heart rate monitoring feature, and eSIM support for 4G connectivity.

Meanwhile, the Mi Watch is completely powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 coupled with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB eMMC. It runs on Wear OS with MIUI for Watch on top with over 40 apps.

The Xiaomi’s MIUI for watch is just a skinned version of Google’s Wear OS, as it is on top and it happens to be the first customized version of the Google smartwatch platform to date. Which means, it is the first smartwatch to run a custom skin on top of Google’s smartwatch operating system.

MIUI for watch has 40+ built-in apps and a separate app store that is now open for third-party developers. Support for eSIM for 4G VoLTE calling through all the major operators in China such as China Telecom and China Unicom.

It also brings all the usual fitness tracking features including swim tracking and is compatible with Firstbeat’s performance analytics which gives you a detailed breakdown of your heart rate data based on different exercises.

The device is powered by a 570mAh battery capacity, which the company claims it will last up to 36 hours on a single charge. It is also the first ever biggest battery in a smartwatch.

Right now, the normal Xiaomi Mi Watch costs 1299 yuan ($185) and will be available in China from November 11th, while the Premium Edition in Black color with Stainless Steel band costs 1999 yuan ($285) in China from mid-December.

Anyways, there Mi Watch will be available from 11th of November, only in China. For now, the company is still quite concerning the international launch, which is outside China.
