Xiaomi Mi 10S announced in Titanium Black, Ice Blue, and Pearl White colors options in its hometown, China. This is the company’s latest smartphone in the Mi 10 series with a 90Hz AMOLED display and powered by Snapdragon 870 chips.
The Xiaomi Mi 10S is the latest to join the Mi 10 series that was debuted last year. The company partnered with Harman Kardon who tuned one bottom-firing, one top side-firing to provide a better Audio system with its dual speaker setup. Xiaomi said that the Mi 10S has scored 80 points on the DXOMark Audio test.
On the front is a 6.67-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It supports HDR10+ certified and Gorilla Glass 5 protection with an in-display fingerprint sensor with an infrared sensor.
The punch-hole camera cutout houses the 20-megapixels front-facing camera sensor, while the rear camera mansion hosts a QUAD-lens setup, the primary Samsung’s 1/1.33″ 108-megapixels sensor with OIS, four-in-one 1.6μm large pixels, and records 8k at 30fps.
Other camera sensor includes the secondary 8-megapixels 123° ultrawide snapper, 2-megapixels depth sensor and 2-megapixels macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. It is thick at 8.96mm, weighs 208g, and comes with a 3D glass back panel.
The Xiaomi Mi 10S is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 7nm Mobile Platform with 3x 2.42GHz Hexa processor, Adreno 650 GPU paired with 8GB / 12GB LPPDDR5 RAM with 128GB / 256GB / 256GB UFS 3.0 storage options.
It comes with 5G SA/NSA, supports USB Type-C audio, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), and NFC. It runs on Android 11 with MIUI 11 and comes with support for Snapdragon X55 Modem, 3000mm² VC liquid cooling.
Mi 10S sports a 4780mAh battery capacity with support for 30W fast charging wired and wireless and 10w wireless reverse charging and it features an X-axis linear motor.
For pricing, the 8GB RAM / 128GB storage option costs CNY 3,299 ($506), 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version goes for 3499 yuan ($537) and the 12GB RAM / 256GB storage costs goes for CNY 3,799 ($583). International availability is currently unknown.
The handset will be available for order starting from today, and the company is offering a free 30W wireless charger for those that will participate during the first sales that will kick-off this Friday, March 12 in China.
