Chinese-based phone maker, Xiaomi officially ends its online launch event, where we saw the Xiaomi 11T series – Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro with 120Hz AMOLED display and 120W fast charging for the PRO. The Xiaomi 11T 5G NE comes with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is obviously the main highlight of the series, and the main feature is the 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge technology that can charge the 5000mAh from 0 to 100% charge in just 17 minutes, which is a big leap from 36minutes on the previous generation.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra comes with 120W but the speed isn’t compared to the 11T Pro. With such speed, a 10-minute charge will get you to 72 percent, which is enough for 7 hours of video playback, 5 hours of navigation, or 2 hours of recording 1080p video.
In order to reduce any damage due to heat, Xiaomi noted that it uses TÜV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System Certification, 34 charging and battery safety features, real-time temperature monitoring, dual charge pumps, and dual-cell batteries structure.
Other battery factor includes MTW, Graphene application on Li-ion battery, Mi-FC technology and more. Still, on that note, the Xiaomi 11T is also offered with a 5000mAh battery, but with a slower 67W wired turbocharging that can charge from 0 to 100% in 36 minutes.
None of these models supports wireless charging, and the company said that the battery will retain 80% of its capacity after 800 cycles, which is a little over 2 years of daily charging. These arrive with a 120W charger included in the box.
With major differences compared to the previous generation, –Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro– it is safe to say that the 11T series is a whole lineup, offering a new plastic design and both arrive in Meteorite Gray, Moonlight White, and Celestial Blue with a brushed finish.
Unlike the Mi 11 with a 6.81” 1440p+ curved display, the 11T and 11T Pro loses that and goes for a flat 6.67-inch 1080 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, with 480Hz touch sampling rate and HDR10+ support.
The brightness has been reduced to 1000 nits max from 1500nits on the Mi 11. Display panel features include Dolby Vision, MEMC, P3 wide color in Pro model, and features a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Back to the cameras, there is a 16-megapixels front-facing camera with an f/2.45 lens, while the back cameras setup sees a huge up/downgrade. Replacing the 50MP sensor of the previous model, it now comes with a 108-megapixel sensor, 2.1 µm pixels with 9-in-1 binning.
It lacks optical image stabilization (OIS), 5x periscopes gone and the Mi 11’s 13MP 123º ultrawide-angle camera has been reduced to an 8-megapixels sensor with 120º lens and an additional 5-megapixels tele-macro camera sensor.
However, there’s a silver lining, camera features include One-click AI cinema modes for features such as Time Freeze, Magic Zoom, AI Cinema modes, 8K recording, and HDR10+. These phones also feature audio zoom, 8.8mm thick, 11T weighs 203g and 11T Pro weighs 204g.
Both have Dolby Atmos and dedicated dual speakers, and the 11T Pro version has SOUND BY Harman Kardon. These have X-axis linear vibration motor, USB Type-C audio, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro run Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top, and following the likes of Samsung and other known smartphone makers, Xiaomi confirmed that these phones will support 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates on phones.
The Xiaomi 11T is powered with MediaTek Dimensity 1200- Ultra 6nm processor with ARM G77 MC9 GPU and comes in 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB/256GB storage. While the Snapdragon 888 5nm powers up the Xiaomi 11T Pro with Adreno 660 GPU.
