Design and Display
Well, at first, the device was up for pre-order for a while on the company’s online store, and now it has gone on sale. Anyways, the Z1 Lite mobile phone comes with few differences and similarities, when compared with the premium and standard Z1.
The handset comes with a notch display, 6.26-inch Full-HD+ 1080 pixels LCD with 19:9 aspect ratio, which regularizes the bezels and borders surrounding the corners of the screen display. And it is not different from the Vivo Z1 Android Smartphone.
Despite having the notch display up front, which houses the selfie camera, receiver and light sensor, the handset still comes with a chin at the bottom, but it is still considerable. Of course, it is a mid-range Smartphone, there are some laid back.
At the shiny liquid coating design, you will find a fingerprint sensor, which means, it doesn’t support in-display fingerprint sensor. Others includes dual camera sensor, the company logo and it is available in Aurora Purple, Black, and Red color options with gradient finishes.
Camera and connectivity
The optics of the Smartphone is the difference here, and trust me, you will find it impressive and attractive. Well, it is the Lite version, but the company included a power, dramatic and understandable camera features by increasing the lens.
Vivo Z1 Lite comes with a vertically dual camera setup, like the Z1 but it is equipped with a 16-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and LED flash. Which is different from the Vivo Z1’s 13MP primary sensor + 2MP sensor with LED flash.
At the front, there is also a camera bumped, you will find a powerful 16-megapixel camera at the front with f/2.0 aperture, which includes features such as professional mode, panorama, beauty, AR shoot, back-light photo, blur photo, slow motion, filter, and more.
While the Z1’s front facing camera is equipped with 12-megapixels selfie camera, but they both supports facial recognition. Well, the cameras might be the selling point here. Network and connectivity features includes dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Performance and Battery
The cameras aren’t the only difference here, the Vivo Z1 Lite is powered by a less-powerful Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC processor, while the Z1 comes with Snapdragon 660 SoC. Well, you will still enjoy those seamless and battery optimization.
However, both phones are available in one model configurations, 4GB RAM, for faster multitasking, and switching of apps. Another notable difference is the in-built storage, the Z1 Lite comes with 32GB internal storage, while the main Z1 comes with 64GB, but they can be expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
Vivo Z1 Lite runs on Android 8.1 Oreo based on the company’s FunTouch 4.0 OS and it is fueled by the same 3260mAh battery capacity. The Vivo Z1 Lite is priced at CNY 1,098, which is approximately N58,000 in Nigeria currency, and is up for sale in China on the company’s online store.
