Actually, the VIVO Y3 is the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘Y Series’ and it was officially announced in China.
The company launched the Y3 with a gradient color design, and it packs a bunch of similar specs as the Vivo Y17 Smartphone. Which arrived in India, last month.
It packs a 6.35-inch (1544×720 pixels) HD+19.3:9 IPS 2.5D curved glass display, and boasts of 89% screen-to-body ratio, which includes smaller bezels and a slight chin at the bottom.
Features a triple rear camera at the back, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor scanner. The device is available in Peacock Blue and Peach Pink color options.
Camera and Connectivity
The VIVO Y3 comes with a AI triple camera, which consists of the main 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, plus another 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 120-degree field of view, and a depth-sensor 2-megapixel lens.
While the Halo FullView notch display houses a single front-facing 16-megapixel snapper with an f/2.0 aperture, it also doubles as the phone’s face unlock biometric feature.
Comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG support, Dual SIM, Micro-USB (v2.0) port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as the network and connectivity.
Performance and Battery
The mobile phone is built around an 12nm MediaTek P35 SoC, running at a 2.3GHz Octa-Core processor, coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
It is available in a single variant, 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal memory, which is fortunately, expandable up to 256GB with a dedicated microSD slot.
Like most Chinese company’s phones out there with gaming feature, the Vivo Y3 isn’t exempted, as it arrives with Game Cube, which is e-sports mode 2.0.
Vivo Y3 runs on the company’s Funtouch OS 9 skin, which is the based on the latest Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 18W Dual-Engine fast charging.
