Vivo X21i

Vivo X21i Review

The X21i is indeed comparable to its predecessor with the design and most features. Like the X21, the phone features a 6.28-inch FHD+ 19:9 Super AMOLED display with a notch, 90.3% screen-to-body ratio, 6GB RAM, Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Funtouch OS 4.0.

Weighs 159grams with 154.37 × 74.98 × 6.99mm dimension and comes in three colors – Ruby Red, Aurora White and Polar Night Black.

You will be forced to admit that the X21i is a selfie-centric device. Like the Vivo V9, the X21i comes with 24-megapixel front camera snapper, which is an increased from the 12-megapixels on the X21.

There is a 12-megapixel primary rear camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera to capture the depth information with AI scene recognition / detection. The camera is able to recognize skin tone, gender, environment and applies the most suitable filter.

One major difference is the processor. The X21 is powered by Snapdragon 660 along with dedicated Qualcomm AIE Artificial Intelligence Chip but the X21i comes with MediaTek Helio P60 12nm SoC.

While on the storage, the phone comes with 6GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB but you won’t believe that both are priced at the same expensive. The phone is fueled by a 3,425 mAh battery unit and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with the company’s FunTouch OS 4.0 on top.

On the pricing and availability, the device is priced at CNY2,698 / $425 / N150k. And will be available in China starting May 19. In Nigeria, the phone isn’t affordable compared to other devices.
