In India, one of the best Chinese Smartphone makers, vivo officially unveils its latest handset series in the V-lineup, the vivo V23 with a 6.44-inch screen, and vivo V23 Pro with a 6.56-inch display, and both are powered by DImensity 920 and Dimensity 1200 respectively.
Both mobile phones are practically premium phones, while the V23 Pro is the biggest among the dual. It brings a 6.56-inch 1080p FHD+ AMOLED 19.8:9 aspect ratio screen with up to 1300nits brightness, 240Hz touch sampling rate and it is HDR10+ certified.
On the other hand, the vivo V23 sports a smaller 6.44-inch 1080pixels Full HD+ AMOLED 20:9 aspect ratio screen with the same HDR10+, 98% NTSC color gamut, and both come with support for 90Hz refresh rate, which brings a smooth scrolling display.
Around the rear panel of the V23, there is an aerospace flat aluminum frame design, 7.39/55mm thin, and weighs 179g/181g. While the V23 Pro sports an elegant shape with a 3D Curved Screen that curves at 57 degrees, is 7.36mm slim, and weighs 171g.
The company said both vivo V23 and V23 Pro come in two colors options – where the impressive and stunning Sunshine Gold option with Color-Changing Glass that interacts with sunlight and other sources of Artificial UV rays to reflect a spectrum of brilliant colors.
However, vivo also went ahead to mention that the Sunshine Gold has a glossy unibody frame that looks sharp and translucent and Stardust Black has a matte frame that is soft and pleasant to the touch. Both phones come with USB Type-C audio.
Inside the display of the V23 and V23 Pro sports an in-display fingerprint sensor, arrives in either 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and a top-end 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. It runs Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.
These new mobile handsets arrive with a triple rear camera sensor, and the primary sensors are different, while the secondary 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and 2-megapixels f/2.4 macro camera lens. These cameras can record video up to 4K@60fps.
While the V23 main camera is a 64-megapixels f/1.89 sensor and the PRO sports a massive 108-megapixel f/1.88 sensor with support for LED flash. Both phones sport the same selfie snapper, and vivo marked them as the first 50-megapixels Eye AF Dual Selfie.
It starts with a primary 50-megapixels autofocus f/2.0 front camera with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 8-megapixels 105° ultra-wide camera with an f/2.28 lens. It brings dual-tone spotlight flash, and can also shoot up to 4K 30fps video recording.
The vivo V23 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, it is a 6nm chipset with 2x 2.5GHz Cortex-A78 and 6x 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It is fueled by a 4200mAh battery with 44W fast charging via a USB Type-C charging connector.
Powering up the vivo V23 Pro is a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI 6nm processor with up to 3GHz CPU, coupled with ARM G77 MC9 GPU. Keeping the light on is a slightly bigger 4300mAh battery with the same 44W fast charging.

The vivo V23 costs Rs. 29,990 ($400) for the 8GB / 128GB version and the 12GB / 256GB version costs Rs. 34,990 ($471). The vivo V23 Pro 8GB/128GB version is priced at Rs. 38,990 ($525) and the 12GB/256GB model is priced at Rs. 43,990 ($592).
Currently, you can pre-book these phones, where the vivo V23 will be available from January 19th from Flipkart, vivo.com, and offline stores, the V23 Pro will be available from January 13th. However, early purchasers will enjoy various instant cashback and trade-in bonuses.
