Vivo U20 is now official with triple rear cameras, 6.53-inch FHD+ display, 6GB of RAM, 5000mAh battery, Snapdragon 675 SoC and a 16MP front-facing camera.
The company promised to launch the phone around this time, and they kept to their words. The U20 is the company’s mid-range Smartphone in the U series.
It was officially unveiled in India, and it is the direct successor to the Vivo U10 Android powered Smartphone. There are few similarities and huge differences.

The Vivo U20 is quite different from the previous predecessor. It comes with fingerprint sensor, 25 percent faster processor, bigger storage, RAM, screen display, and camera lens.
Vivo U20 sports a water-drop 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with brightness of 480 nits and carries 90.3% screen-to-body ratio, which brings slimmer and thinner bezels surrounding the screen.
While the Vivo U10 packs a 6.35-inch (1544×720 pixels) HD+ 19.3:9 IPS 2.5D curved glass display, but you can find the same curved plastic back with gradient finish.
The both phones comes with triple rear camera, Vivo U20 with a 16-megapixels primary sensor with Sony IMX499 sensor, f/1.78 aperture, while the Vivo U10 with a 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture.
Other sensors remains the same, 8-megapixels 120° ultra wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 2-megapixels 4cm macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
It comes with a single 16-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. While the U10 sports a smaller 8-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The Vivo U20 is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform with Adreno 612 GPU, in either 4GB / 6GB RAM, and 64GB (UFS 2.1) storage.
But the Vivo U10 comes with Octa Core Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 610 GPU, in either 3GB / 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB storage. Both are expandable up to 256GB with microSD.
Both devices runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box, but the U20 comes with Funtouch OS 9.1 while the U10 with Funtouch OS 9 on top.
They both sports identical network and connectivity features, which are Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS, OTG, micro USB port.
Vivo still plastered a 5000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging. Recall, that the Vivo’s 18W Dual Engine fast charging can charge other devices using OTG cable, via a micro USB port.
For the new Vivo U20, the company says it comes with Widevine L1 certification, that can allow users to watch high-resolution content from streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
The U20’s base model, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 10,990, while the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version is priced at Rs. 11,990.
