Vivo S1 is official with 6.53-inch display, 24.8MP pop-up selfie camera, 19.5:9 and a Helio P70 SoC mated to 6GB RAM. It runs on Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9.
The Vivo S1 has the same name with Tecno SI Smartphone, but it is much more similar in design to the V15 that was debuted earlier this month.

Design and Display
The Vivo S1 Android Smartphone is the first mobile handset from the company to be launched under the S-series. The Vivo S1 debuts as the first phone under the S-family.
For the design, the phone has identical design to the Vivo V15 Smartphone, instead of the regular notch display, there is a pop-up selfie shooter.
It sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, and it is a notch-less Smartphone with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
The S1 boasts of a 90.95% screen-to-body ratio, which reduces the bezels at the top, and around the screen display. Although, the phone comes with a chin at the bottom.
The Vivo S1 is available in Ice Lake Blue and Pet Pink colors options, and instead of in-display fingerprint sensors. The company mounted it at the back of the phone. The Vivo phone measures 161.97 x 75.93 x 8.54mm and it weighs 189.5 grams.
Camera and Connectivity
For the imaging, the handset comes with four cameras in total, a triple rear camera setup and a single front facing camera, which acts as the selfie shooter.
The back of the phone holds a triple camera setup, which consists of 12-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/1.78 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, and a 5-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens.
While the pop-up mechanism house a single 24.8-megapixel front facing camera lens, which is the selfie snapper. All the cameras are enhanced with AI-features.
The AI face beauty function of the Vivo S1 can identity 103 basic facial features for capturing selfie shots. There is a Body Camera feature onboard that can automatically adjust the body proportions while shooting photos and videos.
It comes with Network and connectivity options, which includes 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.
Performance and Battery
The mobile phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 processor, which is coupled with 6GB RAM. Providing stability to the performance of the Smartphone.
It is also equipped with 128GB of internal storage, which comes with expandable micro SD card slot. And there is the Game Turbo, for intensive gaming period.
The Vivo S1 comes with the company’s Jovi AI-based voice assistant which can be summoned by pressing the dedicated button located on the left side.
It is completely backed by an 3940mAh battery capacity, which supports 18W dual-engine fast charging. And it runs on Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
For pricing and availability, the smartphone costs CNY2,298 ($342/€304) and will go on sale in China from April 1. Anyways, the device is now listed on the official website of Vivo China.
