Well, Instagram by Facebook introduces a new messaging app especially for your close friends private messages and its answer to Facebook messenger, it is known as “Threads” chat app.
Sincerely, Instagram is definitely sure of its new app, that they had to launch it globally today, and it is available on both Android and iOS variants.
Nevertheless, in order to look innovative, Threads arrives with auto-status based on location, access to Instagram‘s suite of photo- and video-editing features, one-word statuses with an emoji and many others.
The Instagram Threads chat app, is the company’s latest camera-first messaging app to that allows you to communicate with close friends privately using photos and videos.
“It opens directly to the camera and allows you to add shortcuts, so you can share what you’re doing in just two taps,” says the company.
Instagram noted that close friends list will appear in both Threads and Direct, which means, Threads messages won’t be hidden from the original Instagram Direct (DM).
The three main features of the new Threads are the cameras, with a customizable shortcuts for your close friends as you can choose to put their profile picture right on the bottom of the camera screen to access them quickly.
While others includes the Inbox for your Instagram Direct messages and your Threads chats. And the other is the status screen, which brings backs that unique AOL away message-style status updates.
How it works, it allows you to create a short meaningful statues with a touch of an emoji. You can either type few words or choose from the long Instagram list of inbuilt statuses.
To add more fun to it, you can then tell Instagram how many hours, from 1-4hr to keep your status visible to your closest friends. Or you can also use the auto-status that updates your status without your consistence help.
They added that “Threads is a standalone app designed with privacy, speed, and your close connections in mind. You can share photos, videos, messages, Stories, and more with your Instagram close friends list. You are in control of who can reach you on Threads, and you can customize the experience around the people who matter most.”
But the center truth is the Instagram Threads might be “inconvenience” why not stick to its own Direct messages, which is quite simple. Downloading another app to chat with close friends is quite irritating. It doesn’t have good reviews from first-timers but lets keep watch with Threads by Instagram!
