Tecno Spark 8 Pro goes official with Helio G85 chips, 6GB RAM, 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging

In a new introduction, Tecno officially brings the Spark 8 Pro to light! The Tecno Spark 8 Pro is the company’s latest Smartphone in its Spark 8 series, long-range of Spark series and successor to the Spark 7 Pro that was launched a few months ago.

As expected, the Spark 8 Pro comes with a larger and longer display, and it is powered by a mid-range MediaTek processor, the new handset comes in Komodo Island, Turquoise Cyan, Winsor Violet, and Interstellar Black color options.

On the front is a 6.8-inch 1080P FHD+ Dot-in display with up to 500 nits brightness, NEG glass protection, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. As usual, there is a slim bezel on the bottom display of the Spark 8 Pro.

Around the back panel is a ridged design, featuring an iconic design with aesthetics and a trendy linear texture. The design is alluring and attractive, which makes it look premium from the far end. However, the mobile handset is 8.77mm slim, which makes it portable.

It arrives with a triple rear camera setup, a primary 48-megapixels f/1.79 lens, accompanied by a 2-megapixels f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 2-megapixels f/2.0 AI Lens with Dual LED flash support. On the front is a punch-hole cutout for an 8-megapixels selfie camera with dual-LED flash.

The new handset comes with other interesting features such as volume up/down buttons, a power button that doubles as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Dual SIM, a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio support, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, and GPS.

Under its helm, the Spark 8 Pro is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G85 12nm processor with Dual 2GHz Cortex-A75 and Hexa 2GHz 6x Cortex-A55 CPUs coupled with up to 1000MHz ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU.

It is available in three memory configurations, 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB internal storage and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB internal storage, and for more files, any of the storage options support memory expansion through a dedicated microSD card slot.

Tecno Spark 8 Pro runs HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 OS out of the box and is fueled by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging through USB Type-C. Tecno did not mention how fast is the 33W but might provide a full charge under a 1hour and 30mins, and a full charge can last up to 1-2 days on a single full charge.

The Tecno Spark 8 Pro was launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 10599 ($142.83 / NGN58,730 Nigerian Naira approx.) However, we are not sure of the international launch, but we surely know it will make out of the Asia continents soon. The official launch/introduction in Africa might start from Kenya, Nigeria, or Ghana.
