Tecno Spark 8 is another Android 11 Go handset that costs N50,000 in Nigeria

    Around the last days of August, Tecno officially launches its latest Smartphone in its Spark series – Tecno Spark 8 and it costs NGN50,000 ($130). As expected, it is a budgeted Android 11 Go-powered Smartphone and it is the direct successor to the Spark 7.

    Compared to the Spark 7, the new generation arrives with a better processor and upgraded features. Let’s start with the massive 5000mAh battery capacity support with 10W charging speed, the company boasts of ‘long-lasting battery’

    However, Tecno claims that a full charge can provide 29.44days standby time, 31.37h call, 19.40h movies time, 18.50h WhatsApp chat length (voice), 125.97h music time, and 13.27h Game time. However, the Spark 8 draws power through a traditional micro USB port.

    The Tecno Spark 8 boots Tecno’s HiOS 7.6 on top of the Android 11 Go edition and it is offered in three colors – Turquoise Cyan, Atlantic Blue, and Iris Purple options. It is 9.2mm thick and features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

    It sports its iconic smooth refreshed design with an abnormally wide square module. The camera is arranged in a beautiful but unusually large square cutout mansion, offering a dual-camera setup and QUAD-Led flash support. These cameras come with basic photography features.

    There is a primary 16-megapixels AI-enhanced camera sensor with an f/1.8 lens and accompanied by a QVGA secondary lens. While the waterdrop notch display houses a single f/2.0 8-megapixels selfie shooter with dual flashlight support.

    Spark 7 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset under the hood with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage. On the front is a 6.52″ 720p HD+ Dot notch screen display panel, There are features such as support for DTS stereo sound effects.

    There is SUPER BOOST System Optimization that the company claims to make your phone faster with some stats on its website, dual SIM with microSD support, Kids Mode, Soplay Music Mixer, and Vault 2.0 that helps you lock your apps and gallery.
