After series of announcements, trillers, and others, TECNO introduces its latest Smartphone in the Spark series lineup – the TECNO Spark 7P handset, and it is powered by MediaTek Helio G70 processor.
The company introduces the TECNO Spark 7P series, which means that we are going to see more phones within this lineup letter. Although, as part of the Spark lineup already, the 7P will deliver a more intriguing performance.
After all, the Spark series isn’t just a bunch of budgeted Smartphones but it is targeted towards youthful and energetic users, which makes the Spark 7P any less.

TECNO Spark 7P Helio G70
The Spark 7P is the company’s latest affordable Smartphone that is clearly targeted at young gamers, with the MediaTek’s Helio Helio G70 running through its veins, bearing huge similarities with Infinix HOT 10T.
Helio G70 is actually the perfect gaming chipset with HyperEngine Power for Smartphones with lesser pricing. MediaTek said “MediaTek Helio G70 is ideal for mainstream smartphone users and elite mobile gamers”
The chipset’s Arm Cortex-A75 is the highest 64-bit CPU here running at 2GHz, while the Arm Cortex-A55 is clocked at 1.7GHz processor counts. While the Arm Mali-G52 GPU for better gaming graphics operates up to a speedy 820MHz.
In order to make it more accessible, there is support for MediaTek’s CorePilot, which maintains a reliable, consistent performance regardless of how long you’re in-game.
Spark 7P comes in two storage configurations, there is the 4GB RAM with either 64GB / 128GB internal storage and they are both expandable through a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
TECNO promises that the SPARK 7P is twice the speed of the previous generation with the SoC, making the Animations smoother, Apps load quicker, and photos are sharper. Allowing you to connect with the world around you faster.
Display and Camera
On the TECNO Spark 7P, TECNO is offering a 6.8-inch LCD HD 1640x720px resolution display with support for a 90Hz refresh rate, which offers a smooth peruse screen display, and effortlessly improves the recognition of your fingers.
The 90Hz refresh rate is a lot better than the traditional 60Hz, which was used on smartphones for a very long period of time. TECNO said that it is an edge-to-edge display with an immersive cinema experience is at your fingertips.
It is available in four amusing colors, there are Alps Blue, Spruce Green, Magnet Black, and Summer Mojito options. One of which will allow you to comfortably become a wonderful attachment to your latest design.
Talking about the design, the Spark 7P sports a unique streamlined body design and features an interesting texture on the rear panel. It is quite slim at 9.15mm thickness and comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Well, the display is an LCD screen that moves the fingerprint reader to the rear panel. It also comes with a Dot-notch screen display that stays at the top display, that houses an 8-megapixels with support for Dual-LED flash.
Around the back, the company did not go much into the details but confirmed that it is a vertically triple camera setup, with its stylish panel where the camera stays being crafted with aerospace-level technique.
It offers a 16-megapixels AI main camera with Smile Snapshot, which is an AI Portrait that focuses on the face and captures the photo when it sees a smile. Others are Super Night Mode, Night Portrait, slow-motion (240fps), and Video Bokeh.
TECNO Spark 7P Other Specs
Well, it is a 4G LTE Smartphone with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and others. The TECNO Spark 7P comes with a large 5000mAh battery, the company did not mention the charging speed but again, it is an affordable handset, so don’t expect much.
However, the company confirms that your phone can stand by without recharging. It supports Dirac Stereo Sound, Bluetooth Audio Share 2.0 that allows you to listen to particular music with friends.
TECNO also mentioned the Auto Dark Theme, Instant Chat Bubble, which has been pretty there all along, to keep you chatting on one end platform, and Video Assistant to keep you watching without distractions.
And there is App Twin, which allows you to easily run two social accounts simultaneously. It runs HiOS based on Android 11 OS out of the box. Fortunately, the device is currently available in all authorized stores across Nigeria.
TECNO Spark 7P Price in Nigeria
For better understanding, the SPARK 7P series currently includes the SPARK 7, and SPARK 7P. With that cleared out of the way, the TECNO SPARK 7P 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model costs NGN60,900 from Pointek and Jumia Nigeria.
While the company is asking for a slightly higher price for the 4GB RAM / 128GB storage variant, which set you back to NGN68,800. TECNO is also offering some offer opportunities for all who will pre-order from now till 31st of May.
