TECNO POP 5 LTE and TECNO POP 5 Pro were officially announced with Android 11 (Go Edition) running inside, and both pack mid-range specifications and features. The POP 5 LTE and POP 5 Pro are the company’s latest Smartphones in its POP series.
Both phones are totally identical to each other, with identical screen displays, cameras, OS, and many others. Where the POP 5 LTE differs from the POP 5 Pro only in RAM, and battery capacity. There’s a slight color shift also.
The new handsets arrive with a unique design, featuring a playful IPX2 Splash Resistant design, which makes the new Smartphone look unique inside and out. It is available in three colors: Ice Blue, Deepsea Luster, and Turquoise Cyan/Sky Cyan options.
On the front, the POP 5 LTE and POP 5 Pro arrive with a 6.52-inch LCD 20:9 aspect ratio display panel with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, HD+, support for 2.5D curved glass display, 120Hz touch sampling rate, 480 nits brightness, and 90.0% screen to body ratio.
Both pack a waterdrop notch display that houses a single 5-megapixels f/2.0 front-facing camera with LED flash support. While the rear panel hosts a dual camera setup – an 8-megapixels f/2.0 main sensor with dual-LED flash support, and a secondary AI camera sensor.
Both phones are powered by a 2GHz Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A22 processor, it’s a large 12nm chipset with IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU for graphic performance. Both phones run Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box with the company’s HiOS 7.6 skin on top.
The POP 5 LTE comes in 2GB RAM with 32GB storage, while the POP 5 Pro sports 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, and both support memory expansions up to 256GB with microSD. There is a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.
These phones come with 14 regional language support, where the POP 5 LTE sports a gigantic 5000mAh battery, the POP 5 Pro arrives with a slightly higher 6000mAh battery, which brings more battery life and power.
TECNO mentioned that the 6,000mAh battery on the POP 5 Pro offers up to 54 hours of Talktime, or 120 hours of music playback, according to the company. These also carry software optimizations including a Battery Lab feature and an Ultra Power Saving mode for extended battery life.
The smartphones also come with HiOS-specific features including Vault 2.0, Smart Panel 2.0, Kids Mode, Social Turbo, Dark themes, Peek Proof, Voice Charger, and Anti-Theft alarm, according to Tecno.

The TECNO POP 5 LTE costs Rs. 6299 (USD $84.64) for the single 2GB/32GB option and the TECNO POP 5 Pro goes for Rs. 8499 (USD $114) for its single 3GB/32GB option also. Both are available from Amazon.in for easy purchase.
