In a single announcement, Samsung introduces a new series of microSD and SD cards – Samsung PRO Plus and Samsung EVO Plus. These new sets of microSD cards are portable, starting from 64GB for the EVO Plus and 128GB for the Samsung Pro Plus.
Globally, it is popularly known that Samsung is among the top best producers of microSD and SD cards. Both Samsung Pro Plus microSD card and Samsung EVO Plus microSD card interface is UHS-1, while the SD Standard is SDXC.
Both Samsung PRO Plus and Samsung EVO Plus comes with support for the video speed class rating of V30 and an application performance class of A2 and also feature Samsung’s six-proof protection.
The Samsung Pro Plus microSD card is available in 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage capacity, it supports up to 160 MB/s read speeds, and up to 120 MB/s write speeds. Samsung is offering $34.99 for 128GB, $54.99 for 256GB, and $109.99 for 512GB variants.
While the Samsung EVO Plus microSD card in 64GB / 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage capacity, which supports transfer speeds up to 130 MB/s. The SD cards also comes with support for the V30 video speed class for capturing content in 4K UHD and FHD resolution.
Samsung PRO Plus SD card comes in 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage capacity, and the Samsung EVO Plus in 32GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB storage capacity. It starts at $8.99 for the 32GB and $39.99 for the 256GB.
These supports SDXC standard and SDHC standard, In addition, both SD card comes with Samsung’s seven-proof protection against shock, water, extreme temperatures, x-ray, wear out, drops, and magnetic impact.’
Samsung EVO Plus microSD card starts at $18.99 and up to $99.99 for the higher model. While the Samsung PRO Plus SD card will be available later this year in the US, the EVO Plus and PRO Plus microSD cards and EVO Plus SD card are available starting today.
