Samsung introduces the Galaxy Tab A7 in India that offers a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ display with large bezels and borders around the screen display and comes with support for quad speakers, and Dolby Atmos.
The Galaxy Tab A7 is just a mid-range Android-powered tablet in the company’s A-series lineup. Being an affordable tablet, Samsung is selling the Wi-Fi version for Rs. 17999 ($245) and the LTE model is priced at Rs. 21999 ($300).
It will be available for purchase from Samsung.com, select retail stores, and leading online portals including Amazon.in and Flipkart. It comes in Dark Gray, Silver, and Gold color options.
Offering normal tablet features includes the 7mm sleek metal body design, and comes with support for Quad speakers, Dolby Atmos, 3.5mm audio jack and packs a gigantic 7,040mAh battery capacity that draws power from USB Type-C.
On the front is a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ TFT display with 2000 × 1200 pixel screen resolution, and boasts of 80% screen to body ratio, and housed in a symmetrical bezel with a metallic finish.
Both options measure 157.4 x 247.6 x 7.0mm, while the Wi-Fi model weighs 476 grams, and the LTE variant weighs 477 grams. Other connectivity includes LTE (optional), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It comes with a keyboard cover that can be available during pre-booking at Rs. 1875 ($26), instead of the more expensive price tag of Rs. 4,499 ($62). The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is available in Wi-Fi and LTE options.
The Galaxy tablet is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 11nm Mobile Platform with Quad 2GHz and 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs with Adreno 610 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD.
It runs on Android 10 OS out of the box based One UI 2.5 skin. Samsung did well to placed the front 5-megapixels camera at the long side of the device, and the back carries the 8-megapixel camera that can record full-HD videos at 30fps.
