It is well Known from the Giant Korean Company, Samsung Mobile that once after the launch of their Samsung Galaxy S series, they would also launched the Armored or Rugged version later on. Like last year, we had the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.
Well, bringing to your Notice is the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active! And of course, it is a Rugged Android Smartphone that has more rugged specification than the regular version.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be going for preorder today through AT&T. The company says it’s the “toughest Galaxy smartphone yet,” featuring a rugged design and military-grade screen that makes it shock, shatter, water, and dust resistant.
It didn’t arrive with any Infinty Edge which is on the Galaxy S8 but the ruggidity of the two variants are quite difference. On a regular base, the phone also features Bixby — with the voice assistant’s home screen including quick access to a stopwatch, barometer, compass, and flashlight.
The screen is a 5.8-inch quad HD super AMOLED display with a 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The device will come in Meteor Gray or Titanium Gold, and will be available in-store from August 11.
The Galaxy S8 Active is larger, thicker and heavier! The Galaxy S8 Active measures 151.9 x 74.9 x 9.9mm and weighs 208.1g. Also features, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a single-lens camera on the rear with a fingerprint sensor to the right.
The S8 Active features a shatter-resistant layer of protection though, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, this is making it more Armored and protected than the regular version.
It also features the same camera specs, 12MP rear, 8MP front and a 4K video recording from rear. Galaxy S8 Active offers a 4000mAh cell over the 3000mAh cell in the standard model. Also support fast charging and wireless charging, and they both offer support for 32-bit audio too.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active runs on Android Nougat with Samsung’s TouchWiz software. Is the Galaxy S8 Active, a good Armored and Rugged Galaxy to hold in 2017?
