Samsung officially launches its latest Smartphone among its Galaxy M-line series in India – Samsung Galaxy M42 5G with big battery capacity, Super AMOLED display, and comes with a QUAD-rear camera setup.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G-powered Smartphone in the Galaxy M-series, where the specifications and features are quite identical to the Galaxy A42 5G, actually, it is a rebadged variant.
Well, nothing is too special on the mobile handset. It arrives with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED HD+ display featuring an in-screen fingerprint scanner and Infinity-U that houses a single 20-megapixels front camera with an f/2.2 lens.
At the top left corner of the back panel is a QUAD camera setup, offering a primary 48-megapixels camera with an ISOCELL GM2 sensor, f/1.8, and support for LED flash. In addition, the 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens.
The remaining camera includes the 5-megapixels depth sensor and another 5-megapixels macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Connectivity include, 5G SA/NSA, NFC, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz + 5GHz, Bluetooth 5, and GPS + GLONASS.
Powering the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 8nm Mobile Platform with its Hexa Kryo 570 CPUs clocking at 2.2GHz and 1.8GHz processor count and comes with Adreno 619 GPU.
It is available in two memory configurations, 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) Storage. Fortunately, you can expand the memory up to 1TB through a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
The Galaxy M42 5G runs Android 11 with One UI 3.1, supports Dual SIM, 3.5mm audio jack, Samsung Pay, thick at 8.6mm, weighs 190g, and comes in Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Grey colors options.
Fueling this device is a gigantic 5000mAh battery with a 15W Adaptive Fast Charging through a USB Type-C connector. The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G 6GB / 128GB goes for Rs. 21,999 ($295) while the 8GB / 128GB costs Rs. 23,999 ($322).
However, Samsung introduced a special introductory offer that reduces the price of the base model, where you can pay Rs. 19,999 ($268) for the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage model. First sales to begin on May 1 via Samsung.com and Amazon.in
