Samsung announces its latest budgeted Smartphones, – Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02 mobile handset. Both phones arrive with a bunch of similar features, such as a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display, a 5,000mAh battery, and others.
The South Korean giant, Samsung introduced both phones in a matte finish and available in three various colors, Black, White, Blue, and Red colors options. Despite the similarities, there are other major differences.
Galaxy A12 is the official successor to the Galaxy A11 introduced back in March. The Galaxy A12 arrives with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, measures 164 x 75.8 x 8.8mm, and weighs 205g.
On the front of the phones is a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD Infinity-V display with 720 pixels screen resolution. There is a considerable amount of bezels around the bottom of the screen, with a camera cut-out at the top of the display.
Both phones come with a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and other connectivity features such as Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS. It is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W adaptive fast charging.
The Galaxy A12 arrives with a QUAD-rear cameras setup, there is the main 48-megapixels rear camera with LED flash with f/2.0 aperture, f/2.2 5-megapixels ultra-wide-angle camera.
Other supported cameras are the 2-megapixels depth sensor and 2-megapixels macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. There is an f/2.0 8-megapixels front camera selfie shooter at the front.
It is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P35 12nm processor with a 2.3GHz Quad + 1.8GHz Quad ARM Cortex A53 CPU with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and runs on Android 10 with Samsung One UI.
The device is available in three major variants, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and you can easily expand any of the storage options up to 1TB via micro SD card.
On the other hand, there is the Galaxy A02 with a triple rear camera, consisting of the primary 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixels depth, and 2-megapixels macro camera with f/2.4 aperture.
While on the front is a 5-megapixels front camera with f/2.2 aperture. These phones come with interesting camera features, which provide bright photoshoots and record videos at 1080p @30ps.
It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. Unlike the Galaxy A12, it is only available in a single variant, 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage, and you can easily expand the memory up to 512GB via micro SD card.
The Galaxy A02 supports dual SIM and it is also powered by an Android 10 with Samsung One UI. It costs 150 Euros ($178) and will roll out starting from February in select European countries.
Where the Samsung Galaxy A12 base model starts at 179 Euros ($212) and up to 199 Euros ($236) for the 128GB storage version. It will roll out starting from January in Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, and other European countries.
