Samsung announces Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra phones

    The South Korean tech giant, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra with Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O 120Hz display and other stunning specifications and features.

    Samsung Galaxy S20 lineups were officially introduced during the company’s regular Galaxy Unpacked event, which was held in San Francisco.

    The three phones arrive with different specifications, from the screen size, camera, battery capacity, but few of the features are identical to each other such as ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 water, and dust resistance, etc.

    The screen size of these phones are different from each other, the Galaxy S20 with 6.2-inch, Galaxy S20 Plus with 6.7-inch and Galaxy S20 Ultra with 6.9-inch.

    Fortunately, the phones are all powered by the same Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 7nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 650 GPU / Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 990 7nm EUV processor with ARM Mali-G77MP11 GPU.

    Both the Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus features 8GB / 12GB (5G) LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB storage (UFS 3.0), but there is are 256 (5G) / 512GB (5G) storage options for the S20 Plus.

    While the Galaxy S20 Ultra sports a 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB storage and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB storage, and all the three phones RAM and storage options are all expandable up to 1TB with microSD.

    They all support Water and dust resistant (IP68), stereo speakers tuned by AKG, Dolby Atmos and an ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor.

    But under the hood, the S20 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery capacity, and 4,500mAh battery capacity on the S20 Plus with 25W fast Charging both on wired and wireless charging, Wireless PowerShare.

    While the Galaxy S20 Ultra with 5000mAh battery capacity but with 45W fast Charging both on wired and wireless charging, Wireless PowerShare.

    We are seeing the same camera features on Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus, there is a 10-megapixels Dual Pixel front-facing camera with 80° wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture, which is mounted inside the Infinity-O display.

    While a triple camera setup interrupts the back panel design, a 12-megapixels Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash, f/1.8 aperture, Super Speed Dual Pixel AF, OIS.

    Another 64-megapixels Telephoto lens with 76° FoV, f/2.0 aperture, OIS, Hybrid Optic Zoom 3X, Super-Resolution Zoom up to 30X, and a 12-megapixels 120° Ultra Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, with a Depth Vision camera on the Galaxy S20 plus.

    They all support 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz), HE80, MIMO, 1024-QAM, Bluetooth 5, GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC, MST as its network and connectivity options.

    The Galaxy S20 Ultra arrives with the same triple rear camera setup, but with different pixels, which includes the main 108-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, 12-megapixel Ultra Wide Lens with a 120-degree field of view, and 48-megapixel Telephoto lens with OIS with Super Resolution Zoom up to 100X and a depth sensor.

    While the Infinity-O display holds a single 40-megapixel front-facing camera that supports 8K video shooting. All three phones are available in LTE and 5G variants.

    The phones run on Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 out of the box, Single / Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD) and sensors such as Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Hall sensor, Proximity sensor, RGB Light sensor.

    For the pricing and availability, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will be available for pre-order starting from February 21, 2020, and will start hitting the stores of shelves from March 6, 2020. The pricing is as follows:
    – 12GB + 128GB costs $1,580 / Rs. 1,12,500 for (4G LTE)
    – 12GB + 128GB costs $1399.99 / Rs. 99,840 / £1199 / €1349 for (5G)
    – 16GB + 512GB costs $1499.99 / Rs. 1,06,975 / £1399 / €1549 for (5G)

    Both phones will be available for pre-order beginning from February 21, 2020, and will go on sale from March 6, 2020. The Galaxy S20 pricing is as follows:

    We were all aware of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, especially the 5G network, cameras, display, processor and many others. But the Galaxy S20 Ultra blew us away, especially the 108MP and 16GB RAM.
