Well, we are seeing our first foldable Smartphone but it is coming from a Chinese company, Royole and not the world’s leading Smartphone brands, Huawei and Samsung. However, the company said it should offer years of use.

Design and Display
The world first foldable Smartphone, Royole FlexiPai arrives with a large 7.8-inch HD+ 1920 x 1440 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio with a thickness of 7.6mm. You will have a dual-screen smartphone that has three screens when folded.
The primary screen has a resolution of 810 x 1440 with 16:9 aspect ratio, the secondary display is at 720 x 1440 and 18:9 aspect ratio, while the edge display features 390 x 1440 resolution and a 21:6 aspect ratio.
We aren’t sure, if it will be comfortable when holding, neither will it be pocket friendly. It ditches the 3.5mm headphone jack for a USB Type-C port. It also gives that amazing feeling of holding a high-definition tablet.
Cameras
For the camera aspect, the foldable phone comes with dual cameras, which can be used as a front facing selfie snapper or back photo shots. That means, the same cameras for selfie, can also substitute as a rear camera.
The cameras consists of 16-megapixel main sensor alongside a secondary a 20-megapixel sensor that sports a telephoto lens. There is a feature called, Dual View Camera Mode, it allows the object of your photo is visible from each screen when folded.
Royole is also integrating AI-enhancement and it allows you to take one perfected shots at first, making the subject perfect before the image is snapped. Hence, eliminating multiple shots.
Performance and Battery
Chinese company Royole Corporation launched the FlexiPai with Royole’s second-generation flexible display. And the device utilizes the next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 (855) processor, and the results appears in Geekbench.
However, the phone is available in two variants, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM and either 256GB or 515GB but both are expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. Well, it skipped the actual trending 10GB RAM era.
And it is powered by a 3800mAh battery capacity with a fast charging tech called Ro-Charge. The company claims that it can charge from 0 to 80% in 1 hour and 40% faster with efficiency rating of 94% and also has 3-layers of protection.
The phone should be announced to the world later this month at Samsung’s SDC18 developer conference. And you can pre-order the 6GB RAM version at ¥8999 / $1290, the 8GB + 256GB model at ¥9998 / $1434, and the 8GB + 512GB version at ¥12999 / $1864.
Royole will soon be joined by other world competitors, Samsung and Huawei takes the stage to launch their new foldable device. We are expecting the Samsung Galaxy F. Others includes LG and Huawei. There will be a flash sale tomorrow at 10:01 AM local time.
