Redmi Note 8 unveiled with Snapdragon 665, and 48MP QUAD rear cameras

Along with the Redmi Note 8 PRO, the company also announced a non-PRO variant, which happens to be the Redmi Note 8 with 6.3-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 665, and QUAD rear cameras setup.

Well, the Redmi Note 8 PRO is now recognized as a 64-megapixels camera phone. But the Redmi Note 8 still rakes the already seen 48-megapixels camera lens, like its predecessor.

Both devices are the company’s latest mid-range Smartphones, and were recently added to their Note series. They are the successors to the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 PRO!

Redmi Note 8

There are notable differences and similarities between the Note 8 and Note 8 PRO. Starting from the display, measurement, cameras, processor, RAM, and battery capacity,

non-PRO Note 8 arrives with a 6.39-inch (2340 ×1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass LCD screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and boasts of 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Like the Redmi Note 8 PRO, it still comes with a TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification. Thankfully, it supports splash-resistant coating. Available in Black, Blue and White colors.

The back panels hosts a QUAD rear camera setup, which consists of the main 48-megapixel main camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning for low-light shots, 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 2cm macro shots.

Unlike the Redmi Note 8 PRO device with 20-megapixels front camera lens with f/2.0 aperture, the Note 8 packs a smaller 13-megapixel camera on the front.

It is powered by an Octa Core Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform (Quad 2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) with Adreno 610 GPU coupled with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage / 6GB RAM with 64GB storage / 128GB storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD.

It arrives with Dual SIM, runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 and it is backed by a 4000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging tech.
