Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has announced the Redmi G Gaming Notebook with a 16.1-inch 144Hz display and powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5/i7 processor with 16GB RAM, 512GB and GTX 1650Ti GPU.
Before now, Redmi teased the G Gaming Notebook and we’ve got a good glimpse of how the gaming laptop will look like, specs-wise. The G Gaming Notebook is the first Xiaomi’s Redmi gaming laptop.
Since the Redmi brand is focused on budgeted devices and gadgets, the company is also offering its new gaming book with a 144Hz display at a cheaper rate. It starts at 4999 yuan ($719), and up to 6599 yuan ($1007).
The Redmi G Notebook comes with a gaming-type aesthetic, with sharp edges and several large cooling vents. The Redmi G Gaming Notebook comes in Black color options.
Around the screen is a 16.1-inch 1080 pixels display with 144Hz / 60Hz refresh rate, 178-degree wide viewing angle, 300 nits brightness with 100% sRGB coverage.
It features a 1-megapixels HD webcam, digital array microphone, supports up to three 4K screens at the same time, three-level adjustable white 1.5mm High Key Professional Backlit Keyboard and its weighs 2.5kg.
While the I/O options include 2x USB 3.2 Gen2, 1x USB 2.0, 1x USB Type-C (4K 60Hz output), 1x HDMI, 1x Mini DP 1.4 (5K 60Hz output), 1x Gigabit Ethernet port and 3.5mm audio jack.
For starters, the G Notebook arrives with up to 10th Gen Intel six-core Core i7-10750H CPU (2.6GHz / up to 5.0GHz), 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and in either NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 or GTX1650TI graphics.
There is also the 10th Gen Intel Core quad-core i5-10200H (2.4GHz / up to 4.1GHz) / quad-core i5-10300H (2.5GHz / up to 4.5GHz) processor identical NVIDIA GeForce GPU. The 16GB (2 x 8GB ) 2933MHz RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, up to 2TB M.2 PCIe/SATA SSD slot.
It runs on Windows 10 OS and features a 2W×2 speakers, Realtek ALC 256M, DTS:X Ultra. The new laptop is fueled by a 55Wh battery with 180W charging support. Redmi boasts of 5.5 hours of 1080p local video playback or up to six hours of web browsing.
The Xiaomi Redmi G Notebook laptop pricing comes in three major variants, there is the 60Hz/i5-10200H/16GB/512GB/GTX 1650 base model that costs 4999 yuan ($719), mid-tier 144Hz/i5-10300H/16GB/512GB/GTX 1650Ti goes for 5799 yuan ($834).
And the Redmi G 144Hz/i7-10750H/16GB/512GB/GTX 1650Ti is priced at 6599 yuan ($1007). The Redmi G Gaming Notebook will start going on sale from August 17th in China, while the order has already begun. The company is definitely breaking some grounds here.
