The Redmi 8A Pro is the company’s latest phone in the market with a 6.22-inch HD+ display, dual rear cameras, an 8-megapixel front camera and powered by a Snapdragon 439 processor.
Back in February, Xiaomi announced the Redmi 8A Dual smartphone with a Dot Notch display. While the Redmi 8A PRO comes out as the successor.
Xiaomi’s subsidiary company, Redmi 8A PRO was added to the 8A lineup in Indonesia, and it is a rebranded Redmi 8A Dual smartphone in India.

One of the best differences between the Redmi 8A and Redmi 8A PRO is the design. The Redmi 8A PRO arrives with a plastic back with Aura X Grip, while the Redmi 8A comes with Aura wave grip design.
It comes with a 6.22-inch 720 pixels HD+ 19:9 2.5D curved glass display with 270 PPI and protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is available in Midnight Grey, Sea Blue, and Sky White colors.
It is purely made out of polycarbonate, features splash resistant nano-coating, sports a chin below the display, where the company’s logo sits, the physical buttons on the right, and the company’s logos stays at the back of the phone.
On the back of the phone sits a dual-camera setup, which consists of the main 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixels secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture.
While the waterdrop notch display houses a single 8-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It doubles as the face unlock, but it lacks a fingerprint sensor scanner.
It comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with VoWiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It still retains a 3.5mm audio jack and features a Wireless FM Radio.
It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU, coupled with 2GB / 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage, which is expandable up to 512GB with microSD.
Redmi 8A PRO runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 11 out of the box and weighs 188g. The 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging (10W charger in the box) keeps the phone light on.
Its charged via USB Type-C port and comes with support for reverse charging. The 2GB RAM costs 1549000 Indonesian Rupiah ($93), while the 3GB RAM is priced at 1649000 Indonesian Rupiah ($99). It will go on sale later this month in Indonesia.
