This is the Redmi 10 Prime with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen, 50MP rear camera, Helio G88 chips. It is not just the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series in India but also the direct official successor to last year’s Redmi 9 Prime.
Redmi 10 Prime comes with a lot of similar specifications and features to the Redmi 10 global variant, where the only difference is the battery capacity. With the new handset, the Redmi brand boasts yet another budgeted Smartphone in the chronicle series of rank.
You are welcomed with a 6.5-inch 1080 pixels FHD+ IPS LCD screen display panel on the front, supports for 90Hz adaptive (45/60/90Hz) refresh rate, up to 400 nits brightness, and features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Redmi 10 Prime arrives with P2i coating for Splashproof protection, side-mounted Fingerprint sensor, Infrared sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, Stereo speakers, FM Radio and Dual SIM, which supports nano + nano + microSD. It is 9.56mm thick and weighs 192g.
In a detailed design explanation, the Redmi 10 Prime is offered in a polycarbonate black and comes in matte Phantom Black and Astral White with a classic, smooth fingerprint-proof finish, and a textured glossy Bifrost Blue color option.
It comes with a QUAD-rear camera sensor, featuring a primary 50-megapixels camera with f/1.8 lens, and this is first of its kind in its category, joining the army is the ultra-wide 8-megapixels sensor, 2-megapixels macro camera, and a 2-megapixels depth sensor.
On the front is a just an expected 8-megapixels front camera with f/2.0 lens. The connectivity options includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS.
Powering up the Redmi 10 Prime is an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G88 12nm processor with its Cortex-A75 and 6x Cortex-A55 CPUs clocking at 2GHz coupled with ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU @ 1000MHz.
It is available in either 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and any of the memory option is expandable up to 512GB with microSD card support. It runs Android 11 OS with MIUI 12.5.
Larger than the global Redmi 10, the new 10 Prime’s 6000mAh battery capacity is quite large, and it offers support for 18W fast charging via USB Type-C, 9W reverse wired charging, which allows you to use the Redmi 10 Prime as a power bank and charge other devices.
Redmi 10 Prime Pricing
The Redmi 10 Prime 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant costs Rs. 12,499 ($170 USD / NGN69,960 Nigerian Naira), and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version goes for Rs. 14,499 ($198 USD / NGN81,480 Nigerian Naira). It will be available from September 7th via Amazon.in, mi.com, Mi Home stores, Mi Studio and retail stores.
Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro
During the launch, Redmi also announces its Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro and it is more like the Redmi AirDots 3 TWS that were launched in China earlier this year. It comes with serious specs and features, we’re talking about Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity with Qualcomm QCC3040 chipset.
There is aptX enable low-latency for gaming, and it promises 7 hours of standalone music playback in a single charge, while a 600mAh charging case extends the total battery life to 30 hours. It is IPX4 rated for water-resistance.
It arrives with Smart wear detection for autoplay and pause. The Earbuds 3 Pro also supports multi-functional touch control and MIUI compatible pop-up window that enables instant viewing of connection and battery status.
The Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro comes in Blue, White and Pink colors option, and costs Rs. 2999 ($41 / NGN16,870 Nigerian Naira). The store availability is identical to the Redmi 10 Prime, but the date is shifted to September 9th.
