RedMagic 6S Pro comes with a 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz multi-finger, and Snapdragon 888+ chips

Improved ICE 7.0 cooling system, new Snapdragon 888+ chipset, and a new mappable touchpad area on the back, this is the RedMagic 6S Pro. Unlike the RedMagic 6/6R but the company skipped the original 6S model and went straight to the ‘Pro”

On the RedMagic 6S Pro, the company brought a truck-load of new advanced and improved specifications and features. It arrives with a 4500mAh dual-cell battery, similar to its previous generation, 120W quick charging that takes 17 minutes to charge.

There is a global variant that will support up to a 66W charging system with a 30W in-box charger, which gives 100% charge in 65 minutes. It is available in Black and White, although, there is a special transparent edition and a limited-edition camouflage.

However, the RedMagic 6S Pro in China offers a 4500mAh battery with 120W charging via USB Type-C. It also adds support for charge separation mode that allows you to plug in power without charging the battery, and this reduces the generated heat.

Unlike the previous generation transparent edition, the RedMagic 6S Pro transparent back is available on the standard model, depending on the memory. And it’ll come with a cooling fan that will have four RGB LEDs to add some flair. This transparent colorway is called “Ghost”.

It comes with a 6.8-inch 1080 pixels Full HD+ 20:9 AMOLED display with a 165Hz adaptive refresh rate, which switches between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 165Hz, depending on what’s showing on the screen currently. It also offers a 720Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate and 7.4ms touch response time.

The RedMagic 6S Pro comes with a 10-bit 1.07 billion colors, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and comes with support for Corning Gorilla Glass protection. There is RGB lighting on the back and the under-display fingerprint reader now detects heart rate as a safety feature.

It arrives with a dual shoulder trigger that is upgraded to a 450Hz touch sampling rate with a response time as low as 8.3ms. In order to make these stats effective, the company has tested 2 million times for in-use durability.

RedMagic allows the shoulder triggers to be customized for any game, allowing you to open up many play styles worth exploring. The 6S Pro runs RedMagic OS 4.5 based on Android 11 OS out of the box.

The company also added a mappable touchpad area on the rear panel – M key -which improves your mobile gaming experience, as you add more controls to the key. The new key allows users to customize either one or two actions by sliding across the touchpad to activate.

Powering up the RedMagic 6S Pro is Qualcomm’s latest chipset – Snapdragon 888+, and this improves its Cortex-X1 based prime CPU core clocking speed up to 2.995GHz, which is higher than its predecessor’s processor.

With the new processor, there is support for 5G connectivity, up to 7.5 Gbps downlink, and 3.0 Gbps uplink for streaming on the go – along with Wi-Fi 6E. It delivers up to 3.5 Gbps on the less crowded 6GHz band.

In order to keep the heating issue in check, the company announced developed the ICE 7.0 cooling system, an “aerospace-grade” n-21H44 phase change heat dissipation material in the body, composite graphene, and retains the 20,000RPM fan from the RedMagic 6 Pro.

The previous generation retains 18,000rpm fans, and this higher speed increases air volume by 30% and air pressure by 35%. While the sound from the higher rpm is tempered by a metal cover, the nose is reduced by 40%.

Compared to the v6 cooling system, there is a new Phase Change Materials (PCM), when heat is generated, the PCM stores them and releases them slowly afterward. In other words, the phase change material is more like a heat battery.’

It comes with a 64-megapixels rear camera, 8-megapixels 120-degree ultra-wide lens, and 2-megapixels macro camera, and an 8-megapixels front-facing camera. It comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers with dual smart PA.
