Realme V15 5G announced as the company’s first Smartphone in 2021 with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Samsung Super AMOLED screen, 64-megapixels triple camera, and Dimensity 800U chipset.
The Realme V15 5G is the latest mid-range 5G smartphone in China and comes in three paint job, Koi, Blue, and Silver color options. It arrives with an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports USB Type-C audio.
Realme also announced a version known as co-branded “National Treasure” version has a gradient back with a fusion of red, yellow, and blue along with Dare to Leap branding. It measures 160.9 × 75.1 × 8.1mm and weighs 176g.
The Realme V15 5G arrives with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Samsung Super AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and sports 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen boasts of 90.8% screen-to-body ratio with slimmer bezels.
It is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U (MT6873V) 7nm processor running on 4x 2.4GHz Cortex-A76 and 4x 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs. You can find the device in either 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage with no option for expansion.
For the optics, the device comes with a triple rear camera setup, there is the f/1.8 64-megapixels camera, supported by f/2.3 8-megapixels 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2-megapixels 4cm macro sensor with LED flash support.
There’s also a hole in the upper-left corner for the 16-megapixels front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The handset’s front/back cameras come with Super Night Mode, AI Beauty, Portrait Mode, Movie Mode, and UIS Max video recording.
It runs on Android 10 OS with realme UI, but Realme promised to release Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 soon, it supports Dual SIM, 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Dirac, and Hi-Res Audio certifications.
There is a copper tube for heat dissipation and packs a 4310mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 57 minutes, but it comes with a 65W charger in the box.
It charges through a USB-C port but inside the box is a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter. The 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage costs CNY1,499 ($230 USD), while the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage option goes for 1999 yuan ($309 USD).
This price is during the first sale and may likely go up a bit, and the first 100,000 customers will get a chance to win the Koi Blessing lottery. However, these handsets will be available to order and will go on sale in China from the 14th of January.
