Realme officially announced its latest Smartphones series, it is the Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro. Both phones bring upgraded features. Although, they both sports a 5000mAh battery with 65W ultra-fast flash charging, that can charge up to 100% in 33 minutes.
The Realme GT 2 sports an 8-layer heat dissipation structure that includes diamond gel, 4129mm² 3D tempered liquid-cooled VC and 3D multi-graphene, and more that covers a total area of up to 17932mm².
While the Realme GT 2 Pro brings a Diamond ice core cooling system Plus, which includes the industry’s largest 36761mm² heat dissipation area and 4129mm² VC liquid cooling area, which increases the heat dissipation area by 205%.
The heat dissipation structure offers 100% heat source coverage, so the core temperature can be reduced by 19℃. The Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with up to 12GB RAM, while the vanilla model is built around a Snapdragon 888 5nm chipset with up to 12GB RAM.
Both Smartphones bring support for what the company is calling “HyperSmart antenna switching technology” it allows the GT 2 series to intelligently evaluate the signal strength of all antennas and automatically select the one with the best signal.
The HyperSmart antenna switching technology is completely designed with 12 wrap-around antennas that cover all sides of the phone and support mainstream bands in almost all directions, all with the same signal strength.
Realme GT 2 comes in black and blue AG glass back models that have a matte finish, and White and Green colors, and unlike the GT 2 Pro, it brings a stunning Paper Tech Master Design. Both mobile phones run Android 12 with realme UI 3.0 out of the box.
The Realme GT 2 Pro model brings a primary rear f/1.8 50-megapixels Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, accompanied by a secondary f/2.2 50-megapixels 150° ultra-wide camera with ISOCELL JN1 sensor, and a 2-megapixels 40x zoom ultra macro camera.
On the other hand, the GT 2 packs the same 50-megapixels Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, but the 119° Ultra Wide Lens is reduced to 8-megapixels, and exact 2-megapixels macro camera. The front-display houses a 16-megapixels Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.5 lens.
The PRO model sports a 6.7-inch 1440 pixels Quad HD+ AMOLED 1-120Hz LTPO variable refresh rate with up to 1400 nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and support for Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
It sports a 1000Hz touch sampling rate for during gaming, and boasts of an extremely narrow frame of 92.6% screen-t0-body ratio. It comes with DisplayMate A + certification, next generation in-screen fingerprint scanner and 32-megapixels Sony IMX615 sensor.
While the vanilla model, Realme GT 2 comes with slightly smaller 6.62-inch 1080 pixels Full HD+ 120Hz E4 AMOLED display, HDR10+, up to 1300 nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, DC dimming, 92.6% screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass5 Protection.
Alongside with the GT 2 series, the company is also bringing the Realme GT Neo 2 Dragon Ball Z Limited Edition for the Neo 2, it is inspired with Wuzi martial arts suit elements, which brings matching package, stickers, custom themes including GT mode animation.
It costs 2999 yuan ($471) for the single 12GB RAM / 256GB storage and similar to the others in the series, it brings a 300 yuan discount when it goes on sale for the first time on January 7th.
Realme GT 2 / GT 2 Pro Pricing
For pricing and availability, the Realme GT 2 8GB/128GB storage costs 2699 yuan ($424), 8GB/256GB is priced at 2899 yuan ($456), and the 12GB RAM/512GB option set you back at 3199 yuan ($503). Realme is offering a 100 yuan discount for a limited period from January 7th.
The Realme GT 2 Pro with same memory configuration are priced as followed: 3899 yuan ($613), 4199 yuan ($660), 4499 yuan ($708), ($708) for 12GB/256GB and 4999 yuan ($786) for the 12GB/512GB version. Realme offers a 200 yuan discount for a limited period from January 7th.
