Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G 8nm SoC offers upgraded GPU and CPU

Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G 8nm Mobile Platform announced with 15% faster GPU, up to 2.3GHz CPU, LTE modem (X15), and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and comes with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology.

The predecessor, Snapdragon 730G SoC was also built on the same 8nm silicon, and it did provide extensive processor speed for big Smartphones such as Pixel 4a, Poco X2, and Mi Note 10 Pro.

But the company is looking forward to boosting the power and speed by introducing the successor, – Snapdragon 732 SoC. It is now faster, where we’ve got the Adreno 618 GPU that will deliver 15% more performance.

And there are the higher clock speeds, the 2x Kryo 470 cores now run at 2.3GHz, which is slightly bigger and faster than the 2.2GHz on the Snapdragon 730G SoC. While the 6x Kryo 470 runs at 1.8 GHz clock speed.

Aside from the major boosting, every other specifications and feature remain the same. Including the 4th generation Qualcomm AI Engine and has Qualcomm Snapdragon X15 LTE Modem (X15).

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G 8nm Mobile Platform comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming experiences for mid-range gaming phones, where it enables HDR rendering, Game Jank Reducer, and Vulkan 1.1 supports.

Other connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, GALILEO, QZSS, SBAS, and Bluetooth version 5.1. There is aptX Adaptive and TrueWireless Stereo Plus. It also comes with Quick Charge 4+ support also.

It comes with support for up to 8GB memory, 2× 16 LPDDR4x 1866MHz, eMMC, UFS 2.1 hear 3 1-lane, SD 3.0, USB 3.1. It comes with support for up to QHD+ (3360 x 1440) displays with HDR10, Qualcomm Hexagon 688 DSP, and Qualcomm All-Ways Aware.

However, POCO confirmed that the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G will first be seen on POCO X3 “dibs” mid-range smartphone. Which would be officially introduced globally in September.
