OPPO adds another member to the Reno5 series lineup – OPPO Reno5 Z with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen display, 48-megapixels QUAD-rear cameras, and it is driven by MediaTek Dimensity 800U with up to 8GB of RAM.
The Reno5 Z is more like a rebranded F19 Pro+ 5G offering NFC support and slower charging and both are similar as they are available in the Fluid Black color option for the black model, and there is the Cosmo Blue color option.
It runs on Android 11 with the company’s ColorOS 11.1 skin on top. It is 7.8mm thick, which the company claims is the thinnest 5G phone, weighing 173g, and comes with support for a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the front is a 6.43-inch Full HD+ 1080p 2.5D AMOLED display with a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio, in-screen fingerprint scanner, and also arrives with a punch-hole camera cutout for its 16-megapixels selfie shooter.
Inside the rear-camera mansion is a QUAD-camera setup, featuring the primary 48-megapixel lens with f/1.7 aperture, LED Flash, supported by f/2.2 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide and dual f/2.4 2-megapixel depth and macro cameras.
These cameras arrive with amusing features such as Ultra Night Video, HDR Video, Dual-View Video, Focus Lock, Dynamic Bokeh, and AI Scene Enhancements 2.0. Probably, these might be incomparable to the original Reno5 series but they will do the job.
The rear Quad Cameras feature a single, smooth piece of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 5 and come in minimalist colors. Connectivity options are 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC.
It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U (MT6873V) 7nm processor with its Cortex-A76 clocking at 2.4GHz and Cortex-A55 CPUs clocks at 2GHz. It is paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage.
Keeping the light of the phone is the 4310mAh battery that offers 2.9 hours of calling with 5-minute charging with the 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 fast charging through USB Type-C.
The OPPO Reno5 Z is among the Reno5 series and was officially launched in the UAE and Singapore. It is already on sale in both countries. In the UAE, it is priced at AED 1,499 ($408 USD) and available via major retailers.
In Singapore, you can purchase it through online retailers Lazada and Shopee for SGD 529 ($392 USD). Other phones in the series are slightly expensive than the Z, but it all depends on the location.
