This is the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition, also know as Reno 10x loss less zoom version. It was officially announced 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, 8GB RAM, 48MP and Snapdragon 855.

However, the company announced the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition alongside with the Oppo Reno at an event in New Delhi, India on Tuesday.

Of course, OPPO named the Reno 10x Zoom Edition after its biggest highlight, which is the 10x lossless hybrid optical zoom. And it is the company’s high-end Smartphone.

But the major similarities with the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition and the Oppo Reno is the weird side-swing selfie camera, which looks like a Shark fin rising camera on the top.

Remember that the both phones, OPPO Reno, and OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition were first unveiled in China last month, and later in in Europe earlier this month with the Oppo Reno 5G.

Design and Display

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes with a stunning 3D curved glass protection design, and the side-swing selfie camera is just unnatural, compared to the normal pop-up selfie.

Both the Reno 10x Zoom Edition and OPPO Reno comes with an O-Dot ceramic point at the back of the phones to slight left the camera when placed on a flat surface.

It sports a 6.6-inch (2340 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19:5:9 aspect ratio AMOLED display with 100% NTSC color gamut, Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

The 10x lossless hybrid optical zoom is the major highlights of the phone, and it is enabled in the telephoto lens of the triple rear camera.

Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes with a triple camera sensors at the back, and they includes the main 48-megapixel primary rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, another 13-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 10x loss-less zoom.

And an 8-megapixel 120 degree ultra-wide lens with equivalent focal length of 15.9mm, which provides wide-angle shots and the telephoto camera offers 159mm equivalent focal length.

The camera setup of the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition offers 16-160mm full focal length coverage to enable 10x lossless optical zoom.

Other camera features, includes the following dual OIS support to reduce jerkiness in images, noise reduction, HDR support, and artificial intelligence (AI) based Ultra Night Mode 2.0 and portrait mode.

The phone also supports 4K 60fps video capture with OIS support. It uses the three-microphone setup to enable features such as audio zoom recording and 3D surround audio capturing.

While the side-swing, or the shark fin pop-up selfie camera on the front houses a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens.

It arrives with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Besides, the phone packs a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support as its network and connectivity features.

The handset is powered by a 7nm Mobile Platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC running at Octa-core processor speed with GPU of Adreno 640.

It is available in a single variant, which is the 6GB and 8GB RAM options, along with 128GB and 256GB (UFS 2.1) storage, which are expandable via a dedicated memory with microSD.

And the Reno 10x Zoom Edition runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 out of the box, and backed by a 4065mAh battery capacity with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

Both phones also arrives with HyperBoost performance enhancements, including Game Boost 2.0 acceleration engine with Frame Boost and Touch Boost accelerations to enhance mobile gaming experiences.

Price of OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition is available in three major variant, the base model, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at CNY 3,999 in China, and Rs. 39,990 in India.

And the Reno 10x Zoom Edition 6GB RAM + 256GB storage model, is priced in China at CNY 4,499, but it costs Rs. 46,400 in India market.

While the handset top-end device, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version, goes for CNY 4,799 in China and Rs. 49,990 in India.
