Oppo Pad announced with Snapdragon 870, 8360mAh battery, and accessories such as Pen, Keyboard

At an event in China, within this year’s February ending, OPPO officially launched its first tablet – Oppo Pad. The new company’s Pad arrives with a large 11-inch LCD screen display, smart magnetic keyboard, and OPPO Pencil.

The Oppo Pad was announced alongside the company’s Find X5 series, Find X5, Find X5 Lite, Find X5 Pro in either Snapdragon Gen 1 chipset or Dimensity Edition. However, these phones, aside from the Lite, come with premium and advanced specifications and features.

The company has also introduced James Jean × OPPO Pad limited edition that transforms the artist’s imaginative fantasy work “Summer Adventure” on the OPPO Pad with a breakthrough flash sand technology.

On the front of the Oppo Pad are an 11-inch 2.5K WQXGA 16:10 display with up to 480 nits brightness, 2048-level intelligent backlight, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification and supports for 120Hz refresh rate.

While optics isn’t a huge part of any tablet, the Pad comes with a 13-megapixels rear camera with an f/2.2 sensor and an 8-megapixels front-facing camera with an f/2.0 lens. Alongside James Jean’s limited edition in Silver, the OPPO Pad comes in Black and Purple colors.

The Oppo Pad in Black and Silver is 6.99mm thick, weighs 507g, while the Purple option is thick at 7.05mm and weighs 510g. The new Pad comes with connectivity such as Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. It comes with USB Type-C audio, and Quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 7nm Mobile Platform with CPU clocking at 1x 3.2GHz, 3x 2.42GHz, and 4x 1.8GHz Hexa coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. It is available in 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB internal storage.

The Oppo Pad comes with a decent 8360mAh battery with SuperVOOC 33W fast charging via USB Type-C. The company mentioned that the 33W fast charging can charge the tablet fully in 116 minutes. It runs Android 11 with ColorOS 12 for tablets.

The new Pad comes with the company’s Pen, the world’s first commercial stylus with USI protocol, supports 5g water pressure and 0-60° inclination angle. The Pen has a self-developed stylus SDK, supports 4096-level pressure sensitivity, and magnetic wireless fast charging.

OPPO claimed that the Stylus Pen can be used for 11 hours with a full charge, where charging for 1 minute offers 20 minutes of usage; and the smart magnetic keyboard supports Bluetooth connection, magnetic support, and can last 4 hours a day for 30 days.


Oppo is bringing a multi-screen collaboration option for certain Oppo phones with quick file transfers and phone mirroring on the tablet screen. Oppo is selling the optional keyboard case for CNY 399 ($63), and the Oppo Pencil stylus goes for CNY 499 ($79).

The OPPO Pad 6GB RAM / 128GB storage option costs 2299 yuan ($363), the 6GB RAM / 256GB storage variant sells at 2699 yuan ($426), and the 8GB RAM / 256GB storage option is priced at 2999 yuan ($473).

While the 8GB RAM / 256GB storage James Jean Artist Limited Edition with custom stylus and the fine leather case goes for 3499 yuan ($552). There is no global roll-out for now, but the Oppo Pad will go on sale in China from March 3rd.
