During its launch event in the company hometown, China, OPPO introduces other devices including its latest 5G Smartphone – OPPO K9 5G powered by the Snapdragon 768G processor, AMOLED display, and 64-megapixel rear camera.
The company also announced the OPPO Enco Air as its latest budgeted true wireless earbuds in Black, Blue, White Green color options. It is priced at 249 yuan ($38.4) and already available for order in China.
OPPO Enco Air’s 25mAh battery offers 24 hours of battery life, 4 hours of standalone battery life, and has USB Type-C charging with fast charging with 8 hours of listening with 10 minutes of charging.
To make it more premium, OPPO used a 12mm dynamic driver with titanium-plated diaphragm moving coil, semi-in-ear design with a bud as light as 3.75g, along with a transparent case.
The low latency is as low as 47ms and comes with DNN (Deep Neural Network) algorithm which simulates the human binaural hearing system, intelligently and dynamically tracks the human voice, and achieves higher quality call effects.
It supports Bluetooth 5.2 ( AAC, SBC) to connect to Android and iOS devices, IPX4 Water-resistant, and dual microphones for call noise reduction. You can still make a clear call with the video call/voice on/off.
OPPO K9 5G
The OPPO K9 5G comes in two memory options configurations – 8GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. The company used LPPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. There is Dual SIM support.
Plastered on the front display is a 6.43″ FullHD+ Samsung-made AMOLED screen with the standard 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Boasts of 91.7% screen-to-body ratio and a punch-hole for the front-facing camera lens.
It comes with up to 750nits peak brightness and the sixth-gen fingerprint scanner inside the K9 5G screen display sourced from Goodix. It is 7.9mm thick, weighs 172g, and comes in Spade Black and Gradient Symphony colors options.
The back has a track texture that highlights the speed aesthetics, there’s a 3.5mm audio jack, and the camera has an illusion cutting line. The OPPO K9 5G comes with four cameras in total – a triple rear lens and a selfie shooter.
Around the back is the primary f/1.7 64-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, EIS, supported by a secondary f/2.2 8-megapixels 119° ultra-wide-angle lens and 2-megapixels macro camera with f/2.4 lens.
Inside the camera cutout located at the top-left of the display is the 32-megapixels front-facing camera with an f/2.4 lens. These cameras support various types of features to get better photography quality for such smartphones.
For connectivity, the OPPO K9 5G arrives with 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and support for NFC. It runs on ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 OS.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform with its Kryo 475 CPUs clocked at 2.8GHz, 2.2GHz, and 1.8GHz processor count and Adreno 620 GPU, to provide better graphics during gameplay.
It also sports a 3D liquid cooling system for dissipating heat during intensive gaming sessions and packs a 4300mAh battery with 65W super-fast charging via USB Type-C that can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes.
The OPPO K9 5G 8GB RAM / 128GB storage is priced at 1,999 yuan ($308) and the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs 2199 yuan ($339). It is up for pre-orders in China, pre-order and you will get a CNY100 ($15) discount.
While we don’t have any word on the availability outside China, the OPPO K9 5G will open sales beginning from May 11. The company also announced the OPPO Smart TV K9 in 43″ Full HD, 55″ and 65″ 4K models.
It is among the company’s K9 series Smart TVs and both feature HDR 10+ certification. While the 65″ model has MEMC dynamic compensation up to 60Hz. The K9 TVs support Dolby audio and can play music when the screen is turned off.
The 4K models feature dual 15W full-range speakers, with a metal frame and a sleek panel that supports 93% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 1.07 billion color display, and the 43-inch FHD model has dual 10W speakers.
In pricing, the OPPO Smart TV K9 43″ costs 1,799 yuan ($277), 55″ goes for 1,999 yuan ($308) and the 65″ model is priced at 3,299 yuan ($509). Also on board is a webcam that will suit the 4K models but they are sold separately.
