Chinese company, Oppo, has officially announced the Find X Smartphone and yes, it has been unveiled today, June 19th, in Paris. Say hello to Oppo Find X Android smartphone!
Am singularly happy that Chinese companies are doing their best to ditch the iPhone X notch display for a mechanized and motorized selfie camera. But Find X is something different from what Vivo Nex S and Nex A are offering.
Surely, the Oppo Find X is a futuristic flagship smartphone. The Oppo Find X arrives with an impressive pop-up slider that brings all three cameras on a single launch. There is a rear-mounted dual camera and a single camera lens on the front.

Oppo Find X – Design and Display
The Find X arrives with a 6.4-inch OLED display with a 1080 pixel wide resolution and offers a huge 93.8% screen-to-body ratio. And thankfully, it is still pocket-friendly. It comes with a curved sides, curved glass on the front and back, there is rounded corners, like the Galaxy S9.
The Oppo Find X is the second smartphone to feature a true bezel-less display. In a bid to avoid the notch display, and including the top bezels, Oppo innovated a pop-up panel that shows the front and back tri-camera.
Actually, Oppo did a second hand of what Vivo Nex did but in a more bigger way. Find X is almost all about what Doogee Mix 4 is offering but there are little differences.
The Mix 4 can be pulled upwards easily with hands, sliding up to show selfie camera but the back camera is visible physically, even without sliding. Therefore, choosing the Oppo Find X over the Mix 4.
Unfortunately, the Find X phone failed to arrive with any fingerprint sensor, neither a traditional back-mounted fingerprint sensor or the all new in-display fingerprint scanner. Although, the advanced biometric authentication security is reliance on 3D facial recognition tech.
Oppo Find X – Camera
When the phone is switched on, the entire top section of the phone pops-up showcasing and displaying a 25-megapixel front-facing camera and a 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual rear camera.
Oppo says the camera can open in just 0.5 seconds, with the 3D facial recognition tech. On switching on the device, the camera pops out to authenticate your face and unlock the device.
According to research, the Oppo Find X takes up the entire width of the phone at the top and it is unlike the Vivo Nex S with 91.24% that offers a single 8-megapixels pop-up camera.
Oppo Find X – Performance and Battery
The Find X packs flagship processor performance, there is the Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and it is fueled by a 3730mAh battery with OPPO’s VOOC fast charging tech via the USB-C port.
Arrives with the latest company’s Color OS running on Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Also offers a single speaker, global LTE bands, dual SIM card slots. Actually, the Global LTE band is propelling it forward.
Oppo Find X – Price and Availability
The Find X is going on sale in China from today, and should make its way to other Asian, North America and Europe market shortly. It is definitely a game changer. Meanwhile, Africa, Nigeria are not on the news concerning this.
We still do not have any idea of what the ‘X’ stands for or what the firm wants to ‘Find’ next. But the Find X is only a piece of amusement with the pop-up front and back camera for escaping the notch display design!
Firstly, Is this the best way to avoid / ditch the notch display?
