The OPPO A55 5G is the company’s latest affordable Smartphone among its A-series in China. It is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset along with a big massive battery capacity and runs Android 11 OS.
OPPO A55 5G is a low-budgeted mid-range mobile handset and features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor scanner that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. The sensor also doubles as its power button.
It supports Dual SIM and features a 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio. Others includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou.
On the front is a 6.5-inch 20:9 HD+ LCD screen with up to 480 nits brightness, 71% NTSC color gamut, and comes with a and a standard 60Hz refresh rate with 720 pixels screen resolution. It arrives with an 88.7% screen-to-body ratio.
It measures 163.9 × 75.7 × 8.4mm, weighs 186g, and comes in Rhythm Black and Brisk Blue color options. The front display panel comes with a waterdrop notch that houses an 8-megapixels with an f/2.0 camera for selfie snapper.
Around the back is a triple vertical camera sensor, offering a primary 13-megapixel camera with f/2.2 lens, supported by f/2.4 2-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel sensor with extra depth of portrait shots.
The handset is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset with its powerful Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.2 GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 units clocked at 2GHz and support for 5G SA/NSA. It comes with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
It features 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage, and there is a provision that allows you to expand the device storage up to 1TB through a dedicated MicroSD chipset.
The new mobile phone is fueled by a 5000mAh battery that charges at 10W (5V/2A) charging, this isn’t definitely slow charging. It draws its power from a USB Type-C. The OPPO A55 costs 1599 yuan ($246) in China and can be purchased right away.
