OnePlus 10 Pro debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and faster-charging support in China

    Powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset, and second-generation LTPO 2.0 for a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, the OnePlus 10 Pro officially debuts as the company’s latest advanced Smartphone at an event in China.

    Unlike the predecessor, the company removed the IP68 ratings for water resistance, but it packs an X-axis linear motor, it is 8.55mm thick and weighs 200.5g. It packs stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, alongside Dual Microphone, Noise Cancelling Microphone

    It comes with a premium glass design with a matte finish, a 3D Nanocrystalline Ceramic Lens Cover, and the metal middle frame is integrated with 3D nanocrystalline ceramic. It brings 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and NFC.

    The OnePlus 10 Pro brings major upgrades over its predecessor, and it features a graphite sheet and a VC cooling. It is definitely a flagship mobile handset with faster charging capacity and many more. It is available in Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest colors options.

    It packs a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ 3D flexible curved AMOLED, up to 1300nits brightness, and the panel supports an adaptive refresh rate anywhere from 1Hz to 120Hz and the second-generation LTPO panel allows it to decrease the frame rate in even more cases, boosting the battery savings.

    Same as the previous generation, the OnePlus 10 Pro camera is developed alongside Hasselblad and packs an identical Sony IMX789 48-megapixels sensor with 1.12μm pixels, OIS, 50-megapixels ultra-wide-angle Samsung JN1 sensor with 150-degree field of view and supports Fisheye Mode.

    Lastly on the list is the 8-megapixels 3.3x telephoto camera. While the tiny punch-hole on the top front of the OnePlus 10 Pro houses an f/2.4 32-megapixels camera with a Sony IMX615 sensor. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock support.

    Well, thanks to the partnership, the Hasselblad partnership brings Natural Color Optimisation 2.0, which promises the colors will be even closer to real life, and supports second-generation Hasselblad Pro Mode 2.0 RAW shooting mode, offering 12-bit RAW photography from all the rear cameras.

    In addition to the cameras, there is also a RAW+ option, and there is what OnePlus is calling Movie Mode, which is available on the OnePlus 10 Pro that will let users adjust ISO, shutter speed, and more. It also has a LOG format option for videographers.

    Inside the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen1 4nm Mobile Platform, coupled with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage and a top-end 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB storage. It runs Android 12, the Chinese version will bring ColorOS 12.1 and OxygenOS 12 for the global variant.

    The OnePlus 10 Pro supports a dual-cell 5000mAh battery with support for 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 32 minutes, and the 50W AIRVOOC Wireless fast charging can charge up to 100% in 47 minutes. It also has reverse wireless charging.

    OnePlus also introduced what they called “Hyperboost” the company mentioned that the new feature allows you to push the hardware to the limit for gaming purposes, and there are some tools for “overclocking” the CPU, which simply means locking all eight cores at their maximum frequency.

    The OnePlus 10 Pro 8GB RAM / 128GB storage version costs 4699 yuan ($737), 8GB RAM / 256GB storage version costs 4999 yuan ($784), and the 12GB RAM / 256GB storage model set you back at 5299 yuan ($831).

    It is available to order from today and will go on sale in China from January 13th. The OnePlus 10 Pro is now official globally, starting from $899 in the United States and €899 in Europe for the base 8/128GB version. It’ll be available internationally from the 8th of April.
