HMD Global announces the Nokia X7 Android powered Smartphone and it arrives with a mid-range processor, PureDisplay and Zeiss dual camera. The latest Nokia mobile phone is going towards China but outside China, it’ll be launched as Nokia 7.1 Plus.

Design and Display
The Nokia X7 specs and features doesn’t come with much different. it packs a 6.2-inch notched LCD screen with screen resolution of 1080p. The design is not much, it is much like a branded Nokia phone, licensed under HMD Global. And it boasts of 86.5% screen-to-body ratio.
The screen display delivers 500 nits brightness, 1,500:1 contrast, 96% NTSC color gamut coverage and DCI-P3 support. Nokia X7 features SDR to HDR video conversion in real time and the similar Nokia 7.1 PureDisplay feature.
X7 comes with the company name on the bottom and the bezels surrounding the border are quite smaller and fewer. It is purely made out of a Series 6000 aluminum and anodized, while the back is made of glass, unfortunately, unlike others, it does NOT support wireless charging.
The company skipped and compromised the wireless charging technology, this will reduce the costs. Nokia X7 is currently available in Dark Blue and Night Red colors options. Sooner or later, they will be two new colors: Magic Night Silver and Night Black. Supports Fingerprint sensor also.
Camera and Connectivity
The Nokia X7 is the company latest Smartphone to be added to their X family. At the back, the X7 comes with a dual camera setup of 12-megapixel main standard camera plus a 13-megapixels for taking in-depth sensor. While the 20-megapixels front-facing camera is mounted on the notch display!
It is Zeiss-branded, the 12-megapixels + 13-megapixels Sony IMX363 sensor, supports 1.4µm pixels, f/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), EIS is available too. These pixels can capture almost twice as much light as 1.0µm pixels and feature Dual Pixel autofocus to boot.
The cameras arrives with varieties of AI-enhancements, AI bokeh effect, AI recognition for 18 scenes etc. It support dual SIM setup with hybrid slot, that means, you need to choose between two-SIM or one-SIM and a microSD card, other includes VoLTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with VoWiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM radio, a USB Type-C port.

The new Nokia X7 is powered by a mid-range processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset, and comes in three different storage options, 4GB RAM / 64GB storage, 6GB RAM / 64GB storage and 6GB RAM / 128GB storage. The higher variants is much more costly and expensive, much like a premium device.
It supports storage expansion up to 400GB via microSD card. Nokia X7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo but will receive Android One security updates, and soon with Android 9 Pie. Under the hood, it is fueled by a 3500mAh battery capacity that supports 18W wired fast charging.
The company promises that the fast charger will fill the phone in just 30 minutes via USB-C port. Nokia X7 with 4GB / 64GB is priced at CNY 1,700 / $245 / N88,200 in Nigeria currency. While the Nokia 6GB / 64GB variant is priced at CNY 2,000 / $290 / N104,4000 in Nigeria currency, then the last premium variants 6GB / 128GB is at CNY 2,500 / $360 / N129,600 in Nigeria.
