Nokia C2 debuts as a basic Android Go Edition 4G phone with Unisoc chipset

Nokia C2 debuts as an Android Go Edition 4G phone with a 5.7-inch HD+ display, powered by a Unisoc chipset, and packs a 5-megapixel front and rear cameras.

HMD Global introduces the company’s latest 4G phone that runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) Go Edition. It is a basic Android Go Edition smartphone in Cyan and Black color options.

The newly announced Nokia C2 is also the direct successor to the Nokia C1 3G phone, which was announced last year. Nokia C2 is completely powered by a quad-core Unisoc processor with 1GB of RAM.

It measures 154.8 x 75.59 x 8.85 mm and weighs 161g. It sports a 5.7-inch (1520 x 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 display, available in Cyan and Black color option.

The Nokia C2 packs a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixels front camera, that is housed at the top bezels of the phone with receive and sensor.

It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Unisoc processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 64GB with microSD and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) Go Edition.

Nokia C2 supports both single and dual SIM, retains the 3.5mm jack, which has been around for over 100 years. Others include FM Radio, Google Assistant Button, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, micro USB as its network and connectivity.

In order to keep the lights on, the Nokia C2 is preloaded with a 2800mAh battery capacity, that can charge at 5W via the traditional MicroUSB port. Both availability and pricing will be announced sooner.
