The Nokia 8110 Banana device with 4G support is now available for purchase in Nigeria and Ghana. Few days ago, it was available to Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and UAE but within few days, the phone will be available to lot of countries.
It is the company first Nokia 4G feature phone that went on sale globally but licensed under TCL limited. Although, we still have the 3G / 4G version of the Nokia 3310 device.
The Nokia 8110 4G phone features a slightly curved polycarbonate shell design, it runs KaiOS, delivers crystal-clear VoLTE calling, pre-installed with Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search, Facebook and Twitter, send and receive emails or import your contacts and sync your calendar with Outlook and Gmail. According to Olumide Balogun, Head of Marketing at HMD Global, West, East and Central Africa, “With a familiar and easy to use interface, the Nokia 8110 4G features intuitive tactile mechanics, with slide to answer and end calls, as well as an addictive helicopter-style spin on its axis. It comes with the craftsmanship Ghanaians expect from a Nokia phone, delivering durability and reliability as standard.”
In Ghana it is priced at GH¢426 and is already available from May 30, 2018. While in Nigeria it went on sale starting May 28 and current available for a starting price of N24,000. It has a Black and Banana Yellow color options and it can be used as Mobile Hotspot instead of the MiFi device.
