Finally, Nokia officially made the Nokia 6 2018 official by launching it in China. We all can recall that Nokia launched the original Nokia 6 in 2017 precisely in January and that was their first take into Android Market and it was a BOMB!
The first Nokia 6 Sold Out in a Blink of eye approximately 60secs in China Store! This was a clear instinct that Nokia comeback was life threatening business for Apple and Samsung alongside with many others.
So Nokia are back with a newer version of the phone. The phone was spotted on Chinese certification authority TENAA’s online database on December 12, with an ultra-tall, (near) bezel-less QHD display (18:9) and a Snapdragon 630 processor.
Based on a similar aluminum unibody design, the most obvious changes on this second-gen Nokia 6 are the added colors on the chamfer, with the black version featuring copper highlights and the white version with rose gold.
The Nokia 6 (2018) is powered by Android 8.0 Oreo and also arrive with a with 4GB of RAM as standard (up from 3GB on the Nokia 6), 32GB of expandable internal storage and a dedicated dual-SIM slot.
There are options for 32GB or 64GB of storage, which is expandable via microSD up to 128GB. Nokia says the USB-C charger also delivers up to 50 percent power in 30 minutes.
And for the front home button, so sorry, that button on the Nokia 6 has been shifted around to the back of the device, now a common move for phones expanding into the bezel-less and edge-to-edge market.
The fingerprint scanner has been moved from beneath the front screen to the back of the phone. And yes, the Dual-Sight mode aka “bothie” mode introduced by the Nokia 8 is also supported here.
For now, the 2018 Nokia 6 is only launching in China. Preorders are live now, and the device ships January 10. The new Nokia 6 is currently available for preorder for ¥1,499 in China (about $230) for the 32GB model
