Moxilla Foundation just upgraded their Firefox 58 to Firefox 59 and it arrives with an important update. On the new Firefox, you will be allowed to block annoying website notification pop-ups prevent that is, some websites from asking to send notifications to your device.
And it is now available to download for all. Well, this upgrade is very essential as website now integrate annoying pop-ups notifications for their users, so the new firefox stops them from sending the notifications to your web browser.
And also, the new Firefox also stops some sites from accessing your device’s camera, microphone, and location unexpectedly. Website are fond of all these. Anyways, when installed, Firefox doesn’t forcefully blocks all the notifications as you can either activate it or not.
On their web page, Moxilla states the other performance;
– Faster load times for content on the Firefox Home page
– Faster page load times by loading either from the networked cache or the cache on the user’s hard drive (Race Cache With Network)
– Improved graphics rendering using Off-Main-Thread Painting (OMTP) for Mac users (OMTP for Windows was released in Firefox 58)
If you are interested to activate this, on your Firefox 59.0, go to options in Windows >> click on “Privacy & Security” >> find the section marked permissions. Then, you have it to yourself, you can you can manage your permissions for location, camera, microphone, and notifications.
