Motorola Edge+ announced as the company’s first shot in 5G phones. It comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED 21:9 Endless Edge display, 5G with support for SA/NSA, and triple cameras.
The company also launched the Edge+ with the vanilla Edge phones unveiled online, following series of rumors that were leaked online. These new phones run on Android 10 with My UX for customization.
When it comes to the differences and similarities of both phones, there is a handful of them. Where the Motorola Edge is powered Snapdragon 765G, up to 6GB RAM and Edge+ with Snapdragon 865, up to 12GB RAM.

Well, the company has slacked a little bit from unveiling premium or top-end Smartphones in a while, but the Edge and Edge+ might make up for the time lost, let’s cross our hand and wait for that time.
It packs a 6.7” Full HD+ OLED 19.5:9 aspect ratio HDR10+ AMOLED 1080 pixels, with 90Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is Motorola’s first phone with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The Motorola edge+ sports a stereo speakers the promises 60 percent louder audio than previous Motorola devices along with precision tuning for professional-quality sonic performance and deeper, fuller sound.
Fortunately, it carries a 3.5mm headset jack, where the audio tuning technology comes from Waves, recipient of a Technical GRAMMY Award. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor scanner.
When it comes to camera optics, it arrives with a 108-megapixel main sensor, that does 4-in-1 pixel binning to produce 27MP photos. Which was quite missing from Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Others include the 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with macro support and a ToF cam. The last camera is the 8-megapixel telephoto lens for 3x optical zoom. These cameras can shoot 6K videos but might do the 8k video shot.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 865 paired with 12GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM as well as 256GB storage. It comes with 5G support, global sub-6GHz 5G, with SA/NSA and Verizon mmWave 5G Ultra Wideband support, which promises up to 4Gbps download speeds in the US.
The Motorola Edge Plus is fueled by a 5000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging over USB-C, and 15w wireless and has reverse wireless charging that lets you share power with other Qi-compatible devices sat 5W.
Motorola claims that the battery can last for 2 days. The Europe global version costs €1,199 ($1296), while the phone will be exclusive to Verizon in the US, from May 14 at $1,000.
