Meizu 16s Android Smartphone has been announced with 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, in-display fingerprint sensor, 8GB RAM, 48-megapixel camera, and it is powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor.
The Meizu 16s was officially unveiled at an event in China, and surprisingly, it arrives with the impressive specs and features running on the latest chipset.
We aren’t amazed concerning the launch date, as the company has already mentioned it. It is the company’s latest flagship, with COF bonding technique.

Design and Display
The Meizu 16s Android Smartphone comes with a unique COF bonding technique design, which explains the large-radius corners surrounding the phone.
It comes with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 4.2mm ultra narrow bottom bezel and boast of 91.53% screen-to-body ratio.
Meizu 16s arrives with a thin bezels at the top and side of the screen display, but still holds a chin at the bottom of the display.
The new mobile handset arrives with a stereo speakers, and built-in mEngine 3.0 with stunning vibration effect. All the components are aligned at the sides of the phone.
The company, Meizu said it partnered with Samsung to bring a high-quality display focused on minimizing the harmful effects on users’ eyes.
You can’t find a fingerprint sensor at the back, because it is built right inside the display of the Smartphone. It is available in Condensed White, Carbon Black, and Phantom Blue colour options.
Camera and Connectivity
It packs three cameras total, there is a single front facing camera lens, and a dual camera setup at the back of the phone.
At the back of the phone, sits the dual camera setup, which consists of the primary 48-megapixel sensor (f/1.7 aperture) + the secondary 20-megapixel sensor (f/2.6 aperture) telephoto lens with Sony IMX350 sensor, OIS, dual super night scene mode, and six-LED ring flash.
While the water-drop notch display on the front houses a single 20-megapixel f/2.2 aperture wide-angle lens with AI face recognition, HDR, portrait blur, and ArcSoft beauty algorithm support.
It comes with different cameras features, there is the multi-frame noise reduction, and Meizu’s “Super night view” which merges 8 photos into a single image for improved low light photography.
The network and connectivity options includes WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5, GPS, 4×4 MIMO, NFC, Meizu Pay, more.
Unfortunately, the handset doesn’t come with a 3.5mm audio jack, but the company is selling Type-C to 3.5mm converter with Cirrus Logic CS43131 Hi-Fi DAC that promises the best audio experience.

Performance and Battery
The mobile handset is powered by the latest chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with Adreno 640 GPU, allowing you to enjoy intensive game play time.
It is available in three models, there is the 6GB of RAM + 128GB internal storage, 8GB of RAM + 128GB internal storage, and the high end, 8GB of RAM + 256GB of internal storage.
It also supports Hyper Gaming for smoother graphics performance while consuming less power. And the handset runs on Flyme OS 8 based Android Pie with One Mind 3.0 AI.
The phone packs a 3600mAh battery with support for 24W mCharge fast charging. Meizu promises advanced camera features update in the nearest future.
For pricing and availability, you can purchase the Meizu 16s 6GB RAM + 128GB model for CNY 3,398 / Rs. 35,200 / $505, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 3,698 / Rs. 38,300 / $550.
But the top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB option can be purchased at an expensive price of CNY 4,198 / Rs. 43,500 / $624. For availability, it will go on sale in China starting from April 28th.
