As part of MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000 series, the company refreshes the lineup, as the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G platform for premium phone unveiled with support for dual 5G SIM cards.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1000 was introduced last year, and this year, MediaTek announced the successor with advanced, Dimensity 1000+ processor with 5G modem, and support up to 144Hz displays.
Instead of the ordinary 60Hz display found on many smartphones, the Dimensity 1000 plus supports 144Hz refresh rate display, and it is 2.4 times faster per second than the 60Hz display.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ arrives with 4xCortex-A77/4xCortex-A55/Mali—G77 MP9 GPU as the Dimensity 1000 flagship. And also support up to QUAD-channel LPDDR4X memory.
There is an in-built 5G modem with Carrier Aggregation, which can aggregate 2 incoming sub-6GHz radio links for up to 4.7Gbps downlink and 2.5Gbps uplink speeds and support dual 5G SIM.
Inside is a new version of the company’s HyperEngine 2.0 technology, that optimizes every determinant of speed for the Dimensity 1000 plus including the CPU, GPU, RAM, Bluetooth, and mobile data. Especially for a more fluid and immersive gaming experience.
The Dimensity 1000+ also offers MediaTek 5G UltraSave, which conserves battery while using the chipset’s in-built New Radio (NR) modem by up to 32%. It dynamically adjusts the modem’s power configuration and operating frequency according to network conditions and user activities to significantly save power.
And more importantly, MediaTek’s latest MiraVision technologies that are designed to improve per frame picture quality is implemented inside the new Dimensity 1000+.
The MiraVision uses the integrated APU 3.0’s immense processing power to dynamically adjust per frame contrast, sharpness, and color levels, to enhance the picture quality of 4K videos and streams in real-time.
And it also better than HDR10+, and can enhance the dynamic range of 4K videos in real-time, intelligently upgrading SDR videos and streams to HDR quality. The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ will be available in its first commercial phone by iQOO in China soon.
