What’s Coming New on G6 and G6+
Well, as said above, LG isn’t just forgetting the G6 all because of the “Plus” Version but will also build a software that will roll out some cool feature on both the G6 and G6 Plus!
LG said both models will receive software updates simultaneously and a software update bringing Face Print, Low Power Consumption and Covered Lens to the LG G6 will roll out from next month.
Apart from the normal, Passwords, Pin, Pattern and Fingerprint Scanner, Iris Scanner, Faceprint is another security coming from LG and it is their branded name for security!
LG claims is “more convenient to use than existing facial recognition technology.” However, all the users of G6 and G6 plus will be able to unlock their devices by holding them up to their faces, without the need to press any buttons.
Low Power Consumption
This new update is designed to help users get more mileage out of the G6’s fairly feeble battery. It is an always-on mode that leverages hardware and software from Qualcomm and Google to collect data from sensors and networks without consuming a lot of power.
In another sense, it is designed to improve battery life and reduce latency while using third-party apps.
This is another update that is likely warn users when their fingers are detected in the phone’s wide-angle camera field of view. It will also alert you should your fingers start to stray in front of the camera while snapping photos.
Launching Date, Availability and Price
Not too sure about the price but likely, LG will launch in South Korea early next month and come to other regions after that and for the price, G6 Plus will be $100 than the G6!
