The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 is officially here and it brings better upgrades over its predecessor – the Legion Duel gaming Smartphone. The Legion Phone Duel 2 might be able to pull a few strings to keep gamers on their heels with its tweaks.
For one, Lenovo brings back the side-mounted pop-up selfie camera with a Samsung 44-megapixels sensor with support for 4k video recording. With the symmetrical bezels, the selfie camera cutout won’t make it as it is flanked by stereo speakers.
With cameras not being the most important features of a gaming Smartphone, Lenovo still used the same 64-megapixels main cam and a 16-megapixels ultrawide snapper with macro shooting option, Audio Zoom, and support 8k video recording.

Legion Phone Duel 2 Display
On the front is a 6.92-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED screen with DCI-P3 color gamut, DC dimming, 1,300 peak nits brightness, support 144Hz refresh rate with 720Hz multi-fingerprint touch response and it is HDR10+ certified.
There is an independent display chip added to the screen by the company in order to meet the different control needs of players, six customizable touchpoints in the right middle frame, the left edge of the back cover, and the upper and lower back of the device.
The control area, together can support up to eight finger operations. The back design is also impressive with its two squares design featuring the cooling fans, RGB Legion logo, and the dual camera inside the glass island.
With the high demand for damage control, Legion Phone Duel 2 comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass back cover offering an all-metal middle frame, and support for dual X-axis linear motors, which is identical to the previous generation.
It lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, 4 microphones, sports 0.7mm dual speakers, with an equivalent 1.6cc sound cavity and support for Dolby Atmos. It is 10.32mm thick, weighs 262g, and comes in Dawn and Gradient versions.
Chipset and Dual Fans
This is a gaming phone, as expected, Lenovo is using the high-end processor chipset to drive the handset itself. The Snapdragon 888 processor with 5G SA/NSA. It is a 5nm chipset with Adreno 660 GPU.
Legion Phone Duel 2 is available in four RAM variant – 8GB / 12GB / 16GB / 18GB LPDDR5 RAM in either 128GB / 256GB / 512GB (UFS 3.1) storage options. It runs on Android 11 with ZUI 12.5 and support Dual SIM for either nano + nano.
It comes with a dual cooling system, liquid cooling with an internal VC 4,730 square millimeters liquid-cooled plate, and pure copper independent air ducts, which can quickly dissipate heat through the dual air outlets on both sides.
It also comes with two fan works which offer a 30% boasts an improvement in thermal efficiency. It works in conjunction with the bottom one intaking hot air and passing it through the copper heat sink while the top fan serves as an exhaust.
There is an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC support, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax 2x2MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS. It packs a 5500mAh battery that is split between two 2,750mAh cells with two USB Type-C ports to power them up.
Legion Phone Duel 2 Double Ports
The bottom and right sides of the phone have USB Type-C ports, which are both required for charging the two batteries of 5,500mAh with support for up to 90W wired fast charging, delivering 100% charge in 30 minutes.
Although, you can still charge your device using a single port, that brings 65W fast charging speeds while an optional adapter bumps the combined speed to 90W. It still supports more flexibly access accessories while charging.
You can charge with one USB Type-C port, and connect an accessory to the other port to enhance the gaming experience. Lenovo’s battery protection system monitors heat and charging speeds for optimum power delivery and long-term battery preservation.

These memory configurations of the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 will be available in China from April 9th and will also roll out in Asia-Pacific while European availability commences from May.
