How to get and pay the JAMB 2020 e-Pin via Remita and Quickteller

JAMB has successfully updated all the e-facility of the previous candidate who failed to secure Admission into their school of choice last year.

And this year, they have made the registration process much simpler and faster. All thanks to the JAMB Boss, Registrar and board of management.

Today, on this article, we will briefly explain everything concerning e-pin and how to pay for it, and how get the PIN without stress.

What is JAMB Registration Form e-Pin?

JAMB e-pin is required to register for 2020 UTME. With JAMB e-pin, all the interested candidates will not waste any time in the registration centers.

According to David Okeme, Chief Commercial Officer of System Specs, the owners of Remita said: “With this development, every candidate seeking admission into higher institutions across the country are guaranteed a pleasurable experience as they can purchase their PINs on Remita at any time of day,”.

And it was officially confirmed that the 2020 UTME form is now available on Remita and Quickteller. I’ve confirmed and tested it. It is working and you can get the pin straight ahead.

Understand that without the e-pin, no accredited CBT registration center will accept your request.

How to create JAMB Profile

Before you can pay for your e-pin, you must get a profile code. Without the profile code, you can’t make payment for the e-pin.

*. First, create your profile by sending Surname, First Name and Middle Name (where applicable) by SMS to the JAMB shortcode, 55019.

*. You will receive a confirmation code on the same telephone number which will be used to procure the ePIN. This is the Profile Code. It is a 10-character code.

How to get 2020 JAMB Form ePins via Remita

Now that you are registered and you have your 10 digit number, which is the JAMB profile code. You are expected to complete the following guidelines for UTME students:

*. Go to

*. Now select ‘Sales of JAMB/UTME Registration Forms’ in the ‘Name of Service/Purpose” column

*. Then enter your registered phone number (the one on which you received the confirmation code)

*. Enter other details and

*. Select how you want to pay

*. Click ‘Submit’

After payment, your PIN is delivered to your phone number and also displayed on your Remita receipt.

Direct Entry – JAMB ePins

If you are an interested Direct Entry Candidate, then you can successfully get your original JAMB e-pins for Registration by following the below steps:

*. Candidate must register on the JAMB Portal by sending his/her Surname, First Name and other names (if applicable) by text message from the phone number that would be unique to him to 55019.

*. Candidate receives a confirmation code.

*. Candidate visits Remita website

*. Clicks ‘Buy JAMB form’, selects ‘Sale of JAMB/UTME Registration Forms’

*. Select ‘Sales of JAMB/DE Registration Forms’ in the ‘Name of Service/Purpose” column

*. Enter candidate’s confirmation code received after registration via SMS

*. If the Phone number is already registered on JAMB, the Payer name is retrieved from JAMB otherwise, the candidate has to get registered on the JAMB portal as described in step 1 above.

*. Enter other details and select how you want to pay.

*. Once the transaction has been processed, click the “Print Receipt” button to provide the payer with his transaction receipt. The JAMB DE PIN is displayed on the payment receipt.

E-pin not received?

How To Recover Lost ePIN After Payment

You can recover lost e-pin after payment and it is quite simple to do. Just follow the below procedures:

i. If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number

ii. The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number.

i. NIPOST and eleven Participating Banks (ACCESS, FCMB, FIDELITY, FIRSTBANK, JAIZ, Polaris, Stanbic IBTC, STERLING, UNION, and UNITY)

ii. Mobile Money Operators: Paga, e-Transact, Pocket Moni, TEASYPay, Packway Projects (Readycash) and Xpress payment solutions

iii. Participating Micro Finance Banks: Trust MFB, Zazzau MFB, Obeledun MFB and Regent MFB

iv. Online Payment Platforms: System Specs (Remita), InterSwitch (Quickteller) Upper-link, e-Transact and Unied Payment Services (UPS)

v. Cooperative Society: JAMB Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society

vi. Others: Unique ICT, Digital Partners Network

vii. POS (Citi-Serve)

viii. ATMs of banks listed in 5D (i) above (InterSwitch)

ix. USSD (ERCAS) for mobile banking

x. Nigerian Embassies in Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Beau, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg, and London

Duties of Participating Banks / Outlet

i. Collect the Profile Code from the candidate’s phone

ii. Collect payment and vend ePIN by SMS to candidate’s phone (Not dictating or copying)

iii. Facilitate POS Payment, if necessary

iv. Issue Evidence of Payment

v. Collect Centre Service Fees, if requested by the CBT Centre

vi. ePIN is to be delivered electronically to candidates and not to be handwritten


Payment via Quickteller

(a) Log on to, select “Pay For UTME or “Pay For DE” as applicable
(b) Enter your profile code, and proceed to make payment.
(c) You’ll receive your ePIN after successful payment.
(d) Take ePin to the closest CBT center to complete registration

Payment via Micro Finance Banks

(a) Present Profile Code and pay by cash or card
(b) ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

Payment via POS

This is available at State Offices of JAMB + CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it
(a) Present Profile Code and pay by card
(b) ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

Payment via Mobile Money Operators

This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets
(a) Present Profile Code and pay by cash
(b) ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

Payment Using ATM

This is available on all ATM outlets of Participating Banks listed in 5D (I) (Interswitch Channel)
(a) Select Bill Payment and then pick JAMB
(b) Enter Profile Code and pay
(c) ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

JAMB utme de registration

Online Payment at JAMB Portal

(a) Visit the JAMB website:
(b) Click purchase of 2020 Application Document
(c) Enter your Profile Code
(d) Select payment method (Interswitch, Remita, e-Transact, Unified Payment Solutions, Upper-link or Paga)
(e) Make payment
(f) ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

Payment via USSD

(a) Dial *565*6*55019#
(b) Enter Profile Code
(c) Select bank and follow the prompts to complete payment
(d) ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

Procedure for the eight foreign centers only is as follows:

(a) The registration fee for candidates from the eight foreign countries is $20 or it’s equivalent in each of the eight countries

(b) Candidates from the eight foreign countries are to download the Application from the Board’s website ( complete and summit it with the fee at the eight designated centers as indicated on the website.
